'normal' names that just don't appear on the baby name lists for some reason?

I'm still on the hunt for the perfect name, any help would be appreciated! I've noticed during my online search that there are gaps in the obvious names lists and I'm sure this little girl's name is a really obvious name that I just haven't seen on a list, could you guys suggest some obvious names that you don't often see on the "top 100" lists? For example I've been through about 20,000 names and Danielle, Felicity, Jill etc didn't show up on any of them. I'm not a fan of these names but it feels like I'm just missing an obvious one because I have immense baby brain and all names have flown away! Thanks! X

Op- let us know if there’s any that you like, whether it’s one or many.

Thanks for all your messages everyone. I'm afraid I still haven't found "the one" even after going through 1904-1994 top 100s. My first girl was so easy to name, it felt like an eureka moment when I found her name that I was expecting to have that with this one but I just haven't! I feel so awkward! All the names I love have reasons I can't have them, this is my style:

Isabella - best friend is called this and both versions of the main nicknames are taken

Annie - I named the dog my second girls name choice after having my first girl not expecting a second girl!

Lily - I love this but in the baby group I go to there are 4 lily's alone and that's in a very small group so I fear it's become a bit too popular

Ivy - love the Xmas connotations but name of best friends little girl. I've tried other Xmas names but haven't found anything I like half as much.

X

We actually already have a Rose so great shout as along right mindset! I love Poppy too but again that's taken with someone close by and then I seem to stop liking the floral names x

We have a Louisa, she is only one in the school for 10 years, so a lovely name but rarely heard. Apparently out of 10,000 girls only 1 would be called Louisa.

We have a Louisa too. It's a beautiful name. We don't know any others.

Watch a tv show or film made in the 1970s. You’ll see in the credits lots of ordinary names no longer used.

This is brilliant advice. I found my daughters’ names in the credits of The Girl with The Pearl Earring.

PresentPrincess1 · 26/08/2023 20:55

Tilly is used less often than Lily as a name but could be an option.

wineschmine · 26/08/2023 21:33

I actually love Jill and I'm sure it will have a comeback in a few years, maybe not yet.

From the vibe you are looking for I like Jill, Pamela, Kate/Katie, Sarah, Lorna, Laura, Jennifer, Claire, Fiona.

GreenMarigold · 26/08/2023 21:34

I think Alice would go beautifully with Rose.

Otherwise perhaps:

Diana
Elspeth
Beatrice
Lucy / Lucinda
Pippa
