What do you think of this name? Am considering for my baby, nn Penny. I think it’s lovely if a bit long but was pleasantly surprised that it’s 30-odd in the baby name charts so not too ‘out there’. Surname is two syllables

There are 3 Penelope's in my daughters nursery class!

I'm a Penelope but have always gone by Penny. If you want to make sure she's called her full name start as you mean to go on. Penelope is birth certificate, NHS record, driving licence and passport only for me.

I, quite like it. Come to think of it I've not met a Penny in ages.

However, it's good that's 'spending a penny' is no longer a commonly used phrase. 😂

I have a Penelope! We use the nickname "P" or just Penelope, she's happy with either but she really doesn't like being called Penny

I have one. I like that it can be shortened to Penny, Penn, Nelly or Nell. (But lots of friends call her Pen-el-ope like cantaloupe.)
