Help - baby girl name to go with 3 other siblings!

tm123x · 21/07/2023 20:51

Found out a few days ago we are expecting a beautiful baby girl which we are so so excited about, however we are really struggling for names.

We have 3 other children - Isabella, Arthur and Archie. The names we have so far are:

Dulcie
Adelaide
Margo
Aubrey

Suggestions and ideas are so welcome!

Her middle name will be Olivia if that helps.

thank you!

She goes by Bella. I do like Sadie but I taught a horrid one so I’m put off now!😂

Hate Dulcie - it sounds so weird to me. Sort of flat. And … slimy? I’m not sure how to explain the vibe it has, but it’s not pleasant. Aubrey is too masculine and modern compared to the others, although I love Audrey! I’d not have another ‘a’ name, as PPs have said. How about:

Beatrix nn Bea or Trixie
Rosalie
Paloma
Jemima
Oriana
Tallulah
Tabitha
Sasha
Marina

Also love Saskia and Florence

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 23/07/2023 09:16

I would avoid another a name.

opalshining · 23/07/2023 09:20

Would agree with no ‘A’ names…

Otherwise my first thoughts are
Beatrice
Josephine
Francesca
Penelope
Dora
Greta
Pearl (sweet for the youngest)
Cora

Really don’t like Dulcie.

Margot is lovely!!!

shadowchancesassy · 23/07/2023 09:45

Love dulcie

MerryChristmasToYou · 23/07/2023 09:50

Dulcie sounds like Dull with a twee ending and makes me think of Dulce Domum and Dullsville Arizona

opalshining · 23/07/2023 10:37

Also agree Margot lovely (spelt like that). Dulcie is quite nice but doesn't really seem to ‘go’ with your other DC names IMO, if that matters to you.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 26/07/2023 23:24

Charlotte is nice.
I don't like the Dul bit in Dulcie
Dorothy
Louise
Sarah
Esmae
Dora
Coral
Thea

SneezyEvie · 27/07/2023 08:07

The only one I like off your list is Margot (but with a t). The others don’t seem to fit with your sibling names.

Margot Olivia.

MissingOkie · 27/07/2023 08:18

I like Aubrey, I know a few, but I agree it would be a shame for Isabella to be the only one without an ‘A’ name.

You like Florence, I’d go with that. Florence Olivia sounds lovely.

JellyDeels · 27/07/2023 11:26

You definitely want to avoid another "A" name, otherwise you'll have three "A" children and only one "I" which is a bit strange. To be honest I don't feel like any of the names you've listed go well with your other three children's names.

Isabella, Arthur, Archie and...

Millie
Freya
Daisy
Elsie
Mia
Willow
Clara
Hallie
Lucy
Gracie
Rosa
Elsie
Poppy
Sophia
Lily
Evelyn

I like Dulcie and Aubrey. Aubrey hasn't been predominantly male for ages. It took off as a hugely popular female name in the US and it is migrating here. I'd say it's currently unusual in the UK for any child but no less female than male. But I do agree that three A names and one I isn't ideal - makes the younger three two matchy. So I'd go with Dulcie. To me it makes a natural pair with Archie whereas Isabella and Arthur are stylistally similar so the 'set' of 4 names works.

cyclamenqueen · 27/07/2023 15:49

I like Dulcie and Margot .

Other choices would be Beatrice, Lydia, Emmeline, Dora or Elizabeth

RoRoIvy · 07/09/2023 20:43

I like Margot Olivia
Mabel is super but not with Olivia.
Marianne also lovely - not sure why I like all the Ms!!!
