I know it's unisex... do you feel it's more commonly used for boy or girl?

I'm considering it for baby boy. Thoughts welcome!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I instantly think Alexis Carrington Colby from Dynasty and I didn’t even watch it! Female character possibly Joan Collins.
Showing my age.

Alexis bit similar to Alexa and I know a lot of Alexas get teased now and have instructions barked at them.

Never come across or taught an Alexis. If you like it why not use Alexander, Alex?

Absolutely beautiful name. I'd normally associate with girls and shorten to Lexi but if it was a boy I'd shorten to Lex.

Peony654 · 14/07/2023 16:35

A no from me - too close to Alexa which I can't imagine anyone would use any more

Talapia · 14/07/2023 16:37

I think of "A little bit Alexis' and Schitts Creek.

I am old - i first thought of Alexis Korner or Alexis colby!

But I am old and I doubt many would think of those names

Daisybuttercup12345 · 14/07/2023 23:59

Awful for a boy and too similar to Alexa.

Probably girls in the UK. I have an American boy cousin Alexis, although it’s short for Alessandro

I think I’d give him Alexander as a full name so he can alter it if he wants

SkaneTos · 16/07/2023 17:30

I think it is a great name!

I think of it as a name for a boy, since there is a male celebrity in my home country who is called Alexis.

I know a 10 year old girl Alexis, prefer Alexei

Diddykong · 16/07/2023 18:33

I'd say Alexei (as in sale) would be better for a boy

I think of "A little bit Alexis' and Schitts Creek.

Same! No real opinion on OPs question but now I need to go and and rewatch this episode!

I think it is unisex.

I prefer Alexander.
