Anna, Olive, Cora?

Looking for a girls name for baby due in September.

I already have an Anna, and struggling to come up with something for her little sister!

I think I quite like Olive, and also Cora.

What do you think of these? And if I like these... any other suggestions?

Elizabeth for me. I’d avoid a name starting or ending in “A” because you near-on certainly will muddle them up while you’re chivvying them to school or otherwise stressed.

Coral is nicer than Cora.

I like Cora best Olive is ok too.

Anna is a lovely, simple, elegant, international classic so I'd look for something similar for a sister. So not Olive! (sorry) Cora would work okay, although I'm not sure how international it is.

Eva?
Maria?
Lara?
Laura?
Alice?
Emma?
Nina?
Julia?
Celia/Cecilia?
Marina?
Sara?
Clara?

I like Cora. Wasn’t she a character in The Pallisers, or maybe Forsyte Saga?

Kiwiandstrawberries · 09/07/2023 10:38

I love Olive.

Downton Abbey

I haven’t watched Downton Abbey. It was short for Glencora in one of the others.
