Ds who is 11 just said he’d like to name a girl a flower name (lilac is his preference) and a boy a city/place name as his is. I can only think of DS’s name and Paris and Brooklyn. I’m sure there are more though?!

There is a small city in Alabama named Phil Campbell.

When we first moved there and the local weather reporter said 'It is raining on Phil Campbell right now' I though that was kind of a personal weather report.

There is also the Susan Moore Township, but that probably won't work for a boy.

Try again. I used to line manage someone whose surname was Penistone. His driving licence number always used to make me smile. I should be over this, Penistone is my nearest town.

If Preston and Leyland make the list, how about Chorley?

SabrinaThwaite · 04/07/2023 19:31

Chorlton works too (who remembers Chorlton and the Wheelies?)

My grandmother's brother was called Carlisle, I always thought it was a nice name. If you think about your family history and where they came from you might end up with a name that you like.
