Hello

im expecting a boy and I love the name felix. However that is the male version of felicity.

felicity is 9 and I have archie who’s 8… baby will arrive in a few months time but wondered if it would be to weird to even consider felix?

thanks

larrb

I know a baby Felix but no baby Harry's so I don't think they are all that different in popularity.

Agree Felix is too similar, sorry.

happyinherts · 18/06/2023 19:18

Finley? Or is that too much like Felicity too. (Love Felicity).

I have a real debate going on 😂 my son loves Harry too- I just feel that’s a bit to ‘normal’ lovely name but not ‘different’

What about Harvey? Goes well with your other names, similar to Harry but won't be as common at school.

Felix way too close! I really wouldn’t.

Don’t use Felix; it’s the male version of Felicity

How about Gabriel, Piers, Toby, Thomas, Henry, Hugo, Cosmo

dotdotdotdash · 18/06/2023 21:04

Rupert?

I think it’s fine. There’s 9 years between them, they won’t be going to school together. They will be in quite different stages of life so it’s not like you’ll encounter any issues. It’s a great name use it.

Also I’m pretty set on felicity for my baby, but as you have one do you mind if I ask if you have come across any problems or comments? Does she like her name?

I have a 2 year old Felicity and I get nothing but compliments about her name!

Whichwhatnow · 18/06/2023 21:20

Jago?

Gabriel?

Roman/Rohan?

Longdarkcloud · 18/06/2023 21:34

I actually feel that there is enough difference in the sounds to make Felix quite ok.
What about Giles? A bit more rugged than Miles

wingsofabird · 19/06/2023 09:42

Harry's numbers have been dropping for years. In a few years Felix will probably have overtaken Harry in the charts
your children are a bit older so theyll know more Harry's (there were over 7,000 babies named Harry in 2011 but only around 3,000 in 2021 and numbers fall every year if you look at graphs @larrb )
I'd stick with Harry but if not how about Otis

JimJamJo · 19/06/2023 12:24

I don't think it would be fair to your daughter to choose Felix. I think your suggestions of Rafferty and Jasper are both lovely.

DuchessOfSausage · 19/06/2023 13:41

@Barleysugar86 , Harry is the #7 most popular baby name in England & Wales, and has been in the top 20 for decades.
Felix is #71.

Phoenix would be ok.

Coronationstation · 19/06/2023 16:13

From your list Jasper is best. I was going to suggest Casper but Jasper works just as well!
Felicity, Archie & Casper
Felicity, Archie & Hugo
Felicity, Archie & Toby
Felicity, Archie & Max
Felicity, Archie & Sebastian (Seb)
Felicity, Archie & Noah
Felicity, Archie & Oscar
Felicity, Archie & Otto
Felicity, Archie & Joseph (Joe)
Felicity, Archie & Rupert

I like Jasper and Rafferty. Agree that Felix is too close to Felicity.

When you already have an Archie, Harry seems too royal family for me. (Or is it ex-royal family?).

Most of my thoughts have already been posted but add Ezra, Isaac, Elijah, Wilfred, Maxwell

Felicity, Archie and
Jonathon (Jonty)
Sebastian (Seb)
Seth
Silas
If you love Felix consider Rufus or Miles or Giles. They have a similar view be.

ODFOx · 19/06/2023 22:07

Vibe not view be

continentallentil · 19/06/2023 23:23

A bit too close

Francis, Fabian, Laurence, Tobias, Henry nn Hal rather than Harry, Barnabas / Barnaby nn Barney, Nicholas nn Nico…

Harry is boring, I agree

Buttercupsdaisiesdandelions · 20/06/2023 11:34

There are twins named Felix and Felicity in the Chalet School books.
