Caspar, Ivo, Reuben or Tristan

Help, I'm going mad and time is ticking away! 😅 What do you think of this shortlist..?

"If I must be specific"?! There is literally no point in posting if you're not going to specify at least one name that you like or dislike! It would be helpful if you'd said which of the others you like and dislike, but hey, I guess OP should be grateful for "not Ivo"

Ivo or Caspar I'd say, although I'd spell it with a K, it looks nicer.
Too many Reuben's about at the moment.

I don't want to slag off any specific names. All names work in the end, truly.

Except my name. MNers mostly loathe my name & proudly proclaim so. Yet it's super common so it's worked ok (after all) for a big generation of us.

Caspar - Like, but will get Kaspar and Casper
Ivo - Ee-vo or Eye-vo?
Reuben - very popular and often misspelt
Tristan - fine, will be Tris.
Nicholas - best of the bunch. Like Nick.

My favorites are Reuben and Tristan

Oh, I love Ivo and Nicholas. I think Reuben is quite popular nowadays. Not keen on Tristan (sadness) or Caspar (the friendly ghost).

I like Reuben, Ivo (both as ee-vo and eye-vo!) and Nicholas.
Don't like Caspar. Tristan is OK.

Sadly Reuben is in the same category as Phoebe and Isaac for me as lovely names which I couldn’t use because the misspellings would have driven me mad. You may be a better, more patient person than me!

Love Nicholas. Nicky is so sweet for a little boy.

Personal order of preference -

1. Nicholas
2. Casper
3. Tristan
4. Ivo
5. Reuben

I'm actually a bit confused about whether it should be Eye-vo or Ee-vo... I had thought Eevo, but that actually doesn't work as well with his big sister's name 🤔

Tbh, the Reuben misspelling thing doesn't put me off.

Nicholas may be shortened to Nico

Reuben and Tristan are ‘naughty boy’ names for me so I’m not a fan.

Nicholas is usually shortened to Nick, unless you are off Mediterranean origin it would be odd to use Nico.

I like Ivo but would automatically pronounce in I-vo (eye-vo) not eevo. Similar to Ivan.

Ivo (pronounced Eye-vo) is my guilty pleasure name, wasn’t brave enough to use it! But you totally should!

Nicholas is my next favourite, esp if shortened to Nico (why on earth would you need to be Mediterranean to do this??).

I quite like Nicholas and Ivo. I'd definitely pronounce it Eye-vo.
I don't mind Reuben and Caspar.
I loathe Tristan, I find it really unpleasant to say for some reason.

@OhBeAFineGuyKissMe , I know several Nicos who are not of Mediterranean origin.
Nico Rosberg and Nico Hulkenberg aren't either.

Ivo! I campaigned hard for Ivo for DS3 but sadly DH wasn't a fan. I like all your choices actually, bar Reuben which for some reason I've never really liked although I can't tell you why.

Reuben is everywhere at the moment. I would discount it on that basis but maybe that doesn't bother you.
