Middle name for Wren?

I'm due DC3 later on this year and we have a boy's name we like and are thinking of using Wren if we have a girl, but I am struggling to think of a middle name that goes?!
We don't have any family names we want to use, but our other two DC have got a middle name so feel we should use one this time round also. I like pretty sounding names and surname names! Any help would be appreciated! ❤️

Wren sounds lovely- but I do worry what it would feel like as a name if you weren't little and delicate.

MucozadeOnLucozade · 23/05/2023 23:39

Wren Reiss
Wren Brenda
Wren Isobel
Wren Wanda

As above, Wren Mackenzie

Or, Wren Christina

Wren always makes me think of the Women’s Royal Naval Service and the role they played during WWI/WWII. Maybe a name associated with them?
wiki has info (and lots of other names) but as you like surnames maybe Wren Laughton? Dame Vera Laughton Mathews was director during WWII

Wren is quite a soft sound so I think the middle name needs a hard consonant in it for balance

Wren Charlotte
Wren Constanza
Wren Caroline
Wren Cassandra
Wren Tamara
Wren Deborah
Wren Annette
Wren Diana
Wren Dido
Wren Electra
Wren Antigone
Wren Motzi
Wren Matilda
Wren Penelope
Wren Petra

Also like PPs suggestions of Wren Christina and Wren Octavia

And first google says it's associated with bad fortune and betrayal. So not exactly a bird worth being named after.

Sunmoonandstarsforever · 24/05/2023 02:28

Wren Blossom

And “Amelia” means to be missing a limb but there are plenty of women and girls with the name.

Wren Francesca was my first thought OP, but seeing you like surname type names, I think a PP’s suggestion of Wren Mackenzie works well.

Love Wren! And PP's suggestion of Wren Adaline, as well Wren Juliet or Wren Isabel.

CurlewKate · 24/05/2023 11:43

The bad fortune and betrayal thing is a bit daft. But I do stick to it being a difficult name if you're a chubby teenager.

Sorry, first thing that came to mind was Kitchens.

Snap!

Stimpy

thewillowbunnies · 24/05/2023 12:12

Wren - like Wren Kitchens?

Oh you'll be setting her up for some grief in school.

Stimpy

Surprisingly few people mention Ren and Stimpy. I think I can count on one hand the number of people who've mentioned it to me 😂

No one's ever mentioned the kitchens though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same

Same and the only Wren I've met was a m2f trans middle aged man.

For some reason I think Louise. It was such a common middle name for girls when I was at school, but I love the pattern of Wren Louise.

I’m trying to think of other names with that intonation 🤔

I immediately thought Louise too!

Plus Wren Elizabeth and Wren Anne

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch

My son is called Wren and we gave him the middle name Atreus.

Are you serious?

I still laugh about Cousin Sven from Sweden. It took me a while to twig they were a gay couple.

Rent a loo laa? 😄

Wren Ilona

porridgeisbae · 24/05/2023 19:10

Wren Susan- or another one ending in an 'n' sound.

TheBirdintheCave · 25/05/2023 08:26

@CharlottenBurger Speaking of Sven, at uni, my housemate's grandma was CONVINCED that my name was Sven and that was all she ever called me no matter how many times my friend corrected her 😂
