Pearl

I hate it, but it is one syllable...

tummytickler · 18/02/2008 23:34

Pearl is lovely - it is cute and underused - i dont think i have ever met one - one of my favourite names - an uncommon classic. Also love

Maude (dd2's back up name, we went for another)
Jean / Joan / Jane
Ruth
Lil
Bess
Tess
Rose
May
Fern
Grace
Faith
Sue
Beth
Hope

This is really quite difficult

AussieSim · 18/02/2008 23:47

The two I wanted for DD1 but were vetoed by DH were:

Jade and Brooke.

We have a very long and must always be spelt out last name.

or

Sky

Paige

Thanks for replies, it is for a middle name. There are a few on here that I like. I will have to try them with my list of first names!

Dawn

Clary · 21/02/2008 00:20

maisie why does it have to be on syllable?

I have a pal with an unusual and also must be speleld long name (Italian I think). Her dd is called Emma which works very well even with a long name (also easy to spell/say)

Clary · 21/02/2008 00:22

oh sorry didn't see yr last post.

Oh for a middle name I like May or Rose - they both go with a lot
Ella May
Daisy May
Molly Rose
Olivia May
Mabel Rose
etc etc
