Could we do one last voting? Please give me your favourite and least favourite:

Some Pros and Cons on each name would be amazing.

Some notes:

Eva-Marie - we would call her by both names but we are aware that she might prefer just Eva later on and that's fine with us.

Eva Marie - we'd still call her by both names, but it would be easier for her to drop the second part should she want to.

Isabelle - we only like this spelling. We wouldn't use a nickname but if people wanted to call her something we'd offer Bella as we dislike Izz and Izzy. We do think Izzy is avoidable as we've met a few who went by full name/different nickname.

Isabella - mostly by full name but sometimes Bella, depends on how it works out really, we like both.

I like Isabelle the most and Eva-Marie the least. I don't hyphenated names. Eva Marie is nice, too but I would just call her Eva on a day to day basis. I don't like Isabella - too frilly !

I like Isabella best as it has the most nickname options. They're all quite popular names so she might want to differentiate between her name and others.
The worst for me is Eva-Marie. I have absolutely no idea why, totally irrational, but I just hate hyphenated first names.

Eva Marie seems a bit of a mouthful for me. Also my first name is two names without a hyphen and I was constantly called my first name only. I introduced a hyphen ..made no difference. So I started running the two names together. That worked. However that’s not really an option for Eva Marie. You say you don’t mind if she is just called Eva..but she might.
I like Isabelle as well but would choose Isabella.

I love Eva Marie, but I’m Catholic and I don’t know if that’s swinging it for me. It has a Catholic vibe to me. I prefer it non-hyphenated as I’m not keen on double barrelled names.

Isobella takes the edge over Isobelle to me, because I just like the a ending better. It works better if you think you will use Bella too.

Isabelle is the best. I don’t like any of the others. I do like Maria on it’s own.

Eva-Marie -no (too cumbersome and I hate the hyphen)
Eva Marie - yes (better than above. Simpler and more flexible. Both names are nice.)
Isabelle - no (not this spelling, unless you are actually French, in which case it’s fine.)
Isabella -yes (nice, but possibly a bit flowery.)

Eva-Marie - I'd think maybe you were French or something
Eva Marie - ok.
Isabelle - ok
Isabella - nicest

All the names are very overused, but that might not bother you.
Hyphenated/double first names are generally not popular in the UK
Marie as a middle name seems very dated.

How about you call her Marie Eva or Marie Isabelle/a?

You could shorten Isabelle/a to Billie.

My favourites are Isabelle and Eva Marie. Least favourite Eva-Marie with hyphen.

I have one and she's never liked it shortened - insists on Isabella and tbh suits her. We always thought we would use Bella as a NN but never have. She has one but it's nothing to do with her name. There were 3 Isabella's at her nursery but all the others were Izzy, Bella etc not the full name, and at her school she's the only one. Lots of Eva's though.

Isabelle with Belle for short if you use a NN.

I like Isabelle best. It seems the least fussy. I love both Eva and Marie just not together.

Isabelle or Isabella, whichever one sounds best with your surname.

I think Eva Marie is beautiful. It makes me think of Ave Maria (in a good way) and if someone announced it as a name I’d think it was classy and timeless

I like Eva-Marie! I know loads of Isabelles and Evas so I think it's much more interesting.

I’d go with Isabella over Isabelle, all the Isabelle’s I know usually get called Isabella. I don’t think people mean to mispronounce it but I think Isabella rolls off the tongue a bit better.

I like Isabella the most but you won't be able to control what others call her and what she wants to be called when she's older. So you need to bear that in mind.

Eva Marie, both nice names but I think using 2 names is a bit of a mouthful tbh and eventually it would just become Eva.

Isabelle. But I think it's a non-starter is you don't like Izzy or Izz. You don't really get to 'offer' a nickname...it doesn't work like that. You can choose what you call her, but you won't be able to dictate what her friends call her in future, especially if she likes Izz or Izzy!

My DD2 was very nearly Matilda but we ruled it out for the same reason. I only liked the nickname Tilda. I wasn't keen on Tilly or even worse Matty, but I knew I wouldn't be able to 'choose' her nickname. So we went with a different name and Matilda is her middle name.

On that basis, I would go with Eva Marie (no hyphen).

Have I seen a previous post from you saying you pronounce Eva as Ava? If so then don’t use either Eva-Marie or Eva Marie as she’ll spend lifetime correcting people. Eva is eeva. If you want the Ava pronunciation please use Ava Marie. It’s close to Ave Maria, sure, but it’s pretty. Without the hyphen I’d say.

That being said I’m inclined to suggest Isabelle with nn Belle/Bella or like a PP said whichever flows best with your surname out of Isabelle & Isabella but regardless you are likely to end up with an Izzy from either her choosing or her peers etc.

Not keen on hyphenated names so I would choose Eva Marie (no hyphen) or Isabelle. You could still call her Eva Marie at home, many parents refer to children by full names at home (especially when telling them off!)
