What are your thoughts on this name?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
redyellowpinkbluegreen · 31/03/2023 20:12

The thought of the NN Sarah puts me off tho. It would be Sera but people would hear Sarah

Meredusoleil · 31/03/2023 20:14

Gorgeous 😍

But also love pp suggestions of Athena and Serena ❤️

FrogFairy · 31/03/2023 20:17

Seraphina is a lovely name, but the one I knew hated her name and went by Sarah/Sera which sound the same.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 31/03/2023 20:21

Much prefer Zephyrine.

Velvetbee · 31/03/2023 20:35

Love it.

LividNC · 31/03/2023 20:36

Seraphina nn Sephy was on my girl list.

scrivette · 31/03/2023 20:37

Absolutely beautiful name and if I had another DD I would like it. It's a very similar name to my DD. It may not get shortened if you don't want it to.

Puppers · 31/03/2023 20:41

We're very friendly with a family who have a Seraphina. She has a few nicknames but nobody calls her Sera/Sarah to my knowledge so I wouldn't make the decision based on that. She is called Fina, Fi or Seph by family and friends.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 31/03/2023 20:43

I like it but it def counjers a type and look to mind.

Bichette · 31/03/2023 20:44

I quite like it.
It is quite a mouthful so would be better with a sort surname.

Bichette · 31/03/2023 20:45

*short

Soes · 31/03/2023 20:45

Love it. Loved the Seraphina Giraffe book as a child

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 31/03/2023 20:46

It's beautiful.

ColdHandsHotHead · 31/03/2023 21:18

Lovely!

PurpleAirGuitar · 31/03/2023 22:56

I love the sound of it and have just found out that the meaning is "fiery, burning, passionate" which makes me like it even more - I'd assumed it would be "like an angel" which would be a bit too religious for not very religious old me.

Seraphine is a nice version too, but which one sounds best probably depends on the length of your surname.

UrsulaPandress · 31/03/2023 22:58

Love it.

Be brave.

PearlClutzsche · 31/03/2023 22:59

I love it!
But I do love those long, frilly names.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 31/03/2023 23:02

I just wouldn't be able to stop myself calling her Seraphina Pekkala as she is always referred to by her full name in the books.

It's also a bit frilly for me.

Starseeking · 31/03/2023 23:08

There is one in my DC Year 1 class. It's such a pretty name.

JamSandle · 31/03/2023 23:14

It's lovely but for some reason I don't like it.

UsingChangeofName · 31/03/2023 23:36

Awful
Such a mouthful. Obviously people aren't going to use her full name much. How would you feel about that?

Wintersgirl · 31/03/2023 23:49

No, it sounds like an oral contraceptive to me!

MumOf2workOptions · 01/04/2023 07:40

My daughter has a Sapphira in her class everyone calls her Saffy!

I don't dislike it but I'm not mad on it either to be honest.

NashvilleQueen · 01/04/2023 08:00

I don't think there's any need to talk about how Ben Affleck's 14 year old child looks tbh.

Tygertiger · 01/04/2023 08:11

I think it’s lovely but it’s extremely feminine and she might not like that necessarily. I know I couldn’t carry it off myself and it wouldn’t fit with my style.
