Cecily
Iris

Mumofgirls2017 · 22/03/2023 17:12

Iris. Also like Honey

FordCreek · 22/03/2023 17:13

Beatrix

Twoinapod · 22/03/2023 17:18

It’s hard to say without knowing the first name. I like Beatrix out of your list though

gingerspaniel · 22/03/2023 17:24

@Twoinapod most likely Theodora (known as Dora) though we are considering Beatrix as a first name too :-)

Not Honey or Blossom, they are a bit much really. People use honey in the same way as darling, for people they love. And Blossom is just a bit silly sounding somehow.

Rosemary is really nice. But it all depends on the first name as to whether it goes or not.

Pemba · 22/03/2023 17:31

Oh I see you say Theodora, not to Rosemary then as the R in TheodoRa and the R of Rosemary are too close together, making it a tongue twister. Same goes for Iris.

Theodora Cecily or Beatrix would work well.

ourflagmeansdeath · 22/03/2023 18:16

beatrix - It's quite nice
blossom - No, tacky
blythe - Doesn't seem like a girls name
cecily - It's alright
honey - It's a nickname really
iris - I've never liked this sadly
rosemary - Lovely name

I feel like Theodora Beatrix flows the best, although my personal individual name would be Rosemary. I think Beatrix is a good choice considering you're thinking of it for first name too, it'd be lovely for middle name as Theodora is a nicer name to Beatrix but you can still use Beatrix within it.

spuddel · 22/03/2023 18:17

Blossom and Cecily.

I love all those traditional names. Also feel Martha is due for a revival.

WhisperingAutistic · 22/03/2023 18:29

With Theadora, I think Beatrix sounds the best.

Luredbyapomegranate · 22/03/2023 21:50

Iris goes best I think

They are all nice though other than Blossom and Honey (which sound like the noughties offspring of Z list celebs, sorry to be blunt.)

Orangebadger · 22/03/2023 21:51

Beatrix. Would have been my DS name had he been a girl.

PurpleAirGuitar · 22/03/2023 22:40

I love Iris, but I wouldn't use it after a first name ending with an A. So I think I'd go with Beatrix (although I slightly prefer Beatrice) if the first name is Theodora, but Beatrix Iris would be a possibility, and I also quite like the sound of Beatrix Rosemary.

Theodora Blythe

Theodora Cecile rather than Cecily.

Theodora Louise (Louise goes with everything)

sunmonlight · 23/03/2023 00:07

beatrix - ok
blossom - quite like
blythe - ok
cecily - not a fan
honey - love
iris - my favourite on this list
rosemary - nice enough

user1492757084 · 23/03/2023 11:49

Theodora Iris
Theodora Cecile

Beatrix Honor
Beatrix Theodora

Bonnie Theodora

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/03/2023 11:51

I would go with Theodora Iris or Theodora Beatrix
Though my first choice would be Beatrix Cecily - beautiful

I'm struggling to decide on a middle name - which do you prefer?

beatrix
blossom
blythe
cecily
honey
iris
rosemary

I like Cecily, Blossom, Honey and Blythe in that order... but with Theodora I would pick Blossom because that simply sounds better.

BonjourCrisette · 23/03/2023 19:43

beatrix - like
blossom - terrible
blythe - awful
cecily - like
honey - dreadful
iris - a bit dull but OK
rosemary - like

With Theodora I would go for Beatrix or Cecily, Cecily slightly better. With Beatrix, Cecily or Rosemary would work fine but I think Rosemary has the edge.

atthebottomofthehill · 23/03/2023 19:48

Do any of them have meaning for you? Always nice to have a middle name with a family link or other meaning
