I think there is a slight pronunciation difference - said as they're spelt. I was surprised to hear someone say it was a unisex name recently.

I love Frank. I don't like Francis so would go with Frank/Frankie just.

I love it. I wanted to call ds3 Frank/Frankie but dh said no. His middle name is Frank and we mostly call him Frank or Frankie anyway instead of his actual first name so dh should have just let me call him Frank in the first place!

frank I would assume boy but would think it’s cool for a girl.

It is similar in style to Bruce, Clive, Kevin, Norm, Dean
A strong sporty feel...like a cricketer.
