Please give me views on these girls' names

We still have a bit of time but I'm struggling to pick even a shortlist of names. As a kid I always loved names, meanings etc and imagined it'd be really easy to choose. Not so much!

Honest thoughts please...

Eleri- prefer eleni or even elena
Iris- love

Finola- quite like

I love Gloria. It’s just such a great name.
My other choices from your list would be Lara and Astrid.

Gloria - too old fashioned

Eleri - ok

Iris - like a lot

Lyra - no, reminds me of Lycra

Lara - ok

Cora - no

Finola - dislike this one the most.

My 6 year old dd is Lara. We get so many compliments on her name. It really suits her. She's a beautiful girl with such a calm nature.
Funnily it wasn't on our list while I was pregnant but when she was born we knew that was the one. It's a great name.

We've also only ever met one other which I like

I would choose Cora from your list. The only Glorias I know are religious usually Pentecostal and the finolas are Irish Catholic.

Gloria - I really want to like it, but it feels a bit much / a bit 80s to me
Eleri - like it
Iris - love
Lyra - like, but feels quite trendy
Lara - ok

my fav is: Lara ❤

I also like Gloria. I know it's not used very often but that's a positive thing and it sounds a happy uplifting name.
Also Iris is a nice / pretty short name.

Gloria - I'm not sure tbh. It sounds old fashioned but at least you'll never come across another baby Gloria. It's not a bad name.
Eleri - no.
Iris - nice.
Lyra - too trendy.
Lara - yes.
Cora - definitely yes.
Finola - nope.

Finola I think is the name of a purple shampoo so that’s what’s I’m reminded of.

Gloria sounds religious and Lyra looks like there’s a c missing.

I think Lara is lovely.

Cora is my favourite, then Eleri. A Scottish name I like a lot is Marsali.
