Arrietty
Lottie
Amelia
Harper

Fleur

I really like Arrietty but I know it’s not a really name and long so don’t know if it’s totally crazy.

Never heard of Arrietty- but at 4 syllables, its a mouthful and not sure why I don't like it

Lottie- always thought was a NN for Charlotte

The rest I like. What about Odette or Harriet?

DramaAlpaca · 13/02/2023 19:42

I like Ivy. I also like Lottie, but only as a diminutive of Charlotte.

I really don't like any of the others.

Arrietty is just silly.

scoutcat · 13/02/2023 19:46

Harper
Grace
Fleur
Ivy

Lottie was an awful girl who I went to high school with. Amelia is so popular but I do love how it sounds! Arietty sounds lovely but it's not something I'd name my child.. but I'd definitely comment on how pretty it was!

Rosecherry · 13/02/2023 19:48

Out of your names list my fav would be these girls names:
Amelia / Grace / Ivy.

Tho it's what names you like is more important to go by😀

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 13/02/2023 19:49

I really like Arrietty. Not keen on any of the others.

Viviennemary · 13/02/2023 19:50

I like Grace best abpnd Ivy is nice too. Harper is totally dire.

DuchessOfSausage · 13/02/2023 19:54

Arrietty - awful
Lottie - ok
Amelia - overused, never really liked it
Harper - nice surname but don't like it as a first name
Grace - ok, boring as a middle name
Fleur - ok in a rhotic accent
Ivy - don't like it. Ivy Tilsley

SunshineAndFizz · 13/02/2023 20:07

What about Arietta?

everythingsapickle · 13/02/2023 21:42

I like Amelia and Lottie, if a nickname for Charlotte

Harra21 · 13/02/2023 21:58

We have a 4 month old Fleur and get lots of positive comments about it!

Mumofgirls2017 · 13/02/2023 22:01

Only Ivy I really like!

evemillbank · 13/02/2023 22:02

I like Grace

Luredbyapomegranate · 13/02/2023 22:09

I don’t mind Arrietty, I think people will get the reference. Or Arriette or Ariadne (Ah-ri-ad-nee) - Ari is a nice nn.

Lottie - only if short for Charlotte, which is done to death. Lois? Or Lotte (Lotta)

Amelia - done to death. Alicia, Adela, Cecelia???

Harper - too Hello mag.

Grace - nice enough. Not as overdone as a first name as as a middle name.

Fleur - it always makes me think of someone being sick. Flora or Ffion?

Ivy - it’s nice although quite popular. Ida is a less overused alternative, or Ines.

kindlyensure · 13/02/2023 22:14

Arietta is nice. And Lottie.

Do you like Astrid?

LulooLemon · 13/02/2023 22:17

Arrietty - no
Lottie - yes as a shortening for Charlotte
Amelia - yes
Harper - no
Grace - yes, my favourite from yr list
Fleur - no, sounds like 'ugh'
Ivy - yes

Mum97540 · 13/02/2023 22:18

All ok. But not keen on Fleur so much. There are a lot of Grace's and Charlotte's about. Ariette is nice. Why not Harriet?

Reinventinganna · 13/02/2023 22:21

Arrietty- I really like it! I loved the borrowers!

Lottie- nice

Amelia- okay but very overused

Harper- awful

Grace- I like but it’s a bit meh

Fleur- beautiful

Ivy- nice

Itgoesalittlesomethinglikethis · 13/02/2023 22:28

Arrietty - similar sound to serengeti, confetti, yeti
Lottie - ok
Amelia - lovely
Harper - no, reminds me of the Beckhams.
Grace - nice
Fleur - ok
Ivy - no

Lunde · 13/02/2023 22:31

Arrietty - no
Lottie - ok
Amelia - nice
Harper - no - too posh and Becks
Grace - nice
Fleur - no
Ivy - ok nut makes me think Blue Ivy/Beyonce

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 13/02/2023 22:32

Fleur is lovely

ourflagmeansdeath · 14/02/2023 13:50

Arrietty - Heavily dislike this, sorry!
Lottie - Kinda average, but I do like it as a nickname for Charlotte.
Amelia - It's a medical term and I can't get that out of my head! Otherwise nice
Harper - Don't like it, but it's a nice enough name
Grace - Pretty
Fleur - Really like this
Ivy - LOVE this

Alternatives to Arietty could be Ariadne? Which is really pretty. Or Arabella.

emmathedilemma · 14/02/2023 14:01

Arrietty - awful, it makes me feel itchy for some reason!
Lottie - like but i think it needs to be a nn for Charlotte
Amelia - like but popular
Harper - the Beckhams have put me off
Grace - like but popular
Fleur - not a huge fan (I think partly because it sounds awful in some of our local accents), I much prefer Flora
Ivy - ok

thefarrierswife · 15/02/2023 13:24

Love Lottie!

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 16/02/2023 16:27

Thanks, great to get others opinions. What do you think Bethan?

OP posts:
KirstenBlest · 16/02/2023 16:33

Don't like Bethan. It's a 60-yr old's name.
