Help on choosing a girl's name to go with Claudia and Sienna

Hi all - my partner and I can't decide on names for our second daughter (his third). Would LOVE advice!! Our current combined children are:

Claudia Colliver
Sienna Rose Colliver

and the new baby will be XXX Mae Colliver. We are trying to decide between:

Ava Mae
Erin Mae
Sadie Mae

(Ava is my fave but is it just TOO popular)? My partner loves Erin but we don't have any Irish ancestry and I don't know if that would be weird. Sadie is super-cute but hoping to avoid names beginning with the same letter if possible (my sister and I both begin with E and it was a nightmare with post).

Amelie is lovely and goes with your other girls well.

Ahhh I love Amelie, but as my name is Emily it is alas too similar! :)

I wouldn't worry too much about the Irish aspect. It's not actually an Irish name and one that's rarely used here. It's a lovely name though!

ScreamALullabye · 19/01/2023 20:14

I like Erin.
What about Avery instead of Ava?

BananaSpanner · 19/01/2023 20:15

Love Sadie.

What about Avery Mae (prefer May tbh) - then it's a bit more unusual and she has same number of syllables as her sisters

Off topic but why has dd1 not got a middle name?

I'm not sure! My partner and his ex didn't seem to feel one was necessary. I love a good middle name so feel it's a missed opportunity! :)

Of the three you like, I would go with Sadie, but I also love

Vanessa
Rebecca
Nastasia
Marianne
Vivienne
Jennet
Thalia
Janice
Daphne
Rosalind

CloudPop · 19/01/2023 20:24

Evie Mae?

Lmes · 19/01/2023 20:40

What about
Matilda
Lydia
Romy

Aphrathestorm · 19/01/2023 20:50

I like Sadie

Or
Saskia
Avery
Sorcha

GrouchyKiwi · 19/01/2023 21:13

Of the names you've listed I prefer Ava.

Before opening the thread I thought Laura.

ghislaine · 19/01/2023 21:36

I agree with a PP, you have a Roman theme going on there. How about Portia? Livia would be another option if you wanted another 3 syllable names.

NoraVanDoogle · 19/01/2023 21:44

Honestly I’d drop the Mae as I think it’s over used.
But if you really love it how about Valentina Mae?

NoraVanDoogle · 19/01/2023 21:45

Or Nora Mae 😂

mumonherphone · 19/01/2023 21:48

Claudia, Sienna and Sadie sounds the most like 3 sisters to me. But I like Erin and Ava too.

Claudiasmum · 19/01/2023 21:51

I have a Claudia, with big sister is Isabella, (nickname Izzie)

Other girl names I liked were

Francesca
Helena
Sasha
Stella
Gabriella (but was too similar to Isabella)
Imogen (but = two girls with an 'I' name)
Emily

StartupRepair · 19/01/2023 21:54

Sadie is gorgeous. Erin and Ava have much less impact.
How about Francesca? Or Cosima? Or Clementine or Valentina?

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 19/01/2023 22:16

Sadie is lovely.
How about Tessa.

StartupRepair · 19/01/2023 22:26

Or instead of Mae as a middle, how about Maeve as the first name?

ladygindiva · 19/01/2023 22:27

I like Sadie! Rare and lovely.

EmilyRose1985 · 20/01/2023 13:05

BearingFalseWitness · 19/01/2023 16:28

Hello. My favourite name on the list is Erin - I have one and she does have an Irish surname and Irish ancestry on both sides but I don’t think it’s a super traditional Irish name so I think it’s ok to use it in other circumstances.

but…. Claudia and Sienna have a very Italian vibe (though with anglicised spelling/pronunciation) and I think Ava goes best with them. Yes it is popular but that wouldn’t bother me if I loved it.

My daughter also has Italian ancestry and if I’d have been able to persuade my OH her name would have been Lucia! That would also work with your existing names.

Choconut · 20/01/2023 13:21

I love Ava, to me Erin and Sadie are really harsh sounding in comparison (and in comparison to your other girls names which I love.

I don't know any Ava's so I wouldn't let popularity put you off. I do know an Anya though which I think is similar and also very lovely.

MyOldCaravan · 20/01/2023 13:27

Laura
Juliet
Erica
Matilda
Rachael

Luredbyapomegranate · 20/01/2023 13:52

Erin is alright - it would be nice if she had something as elegant as her sisters though -Adela, Francesca, Fernanda etc

Ava is too overused
