Baby names
Brook for a boy ?

What do people think of this name ?

I think it’s unisex. Used more frequently in the US for boys. I prefer it to River but it’s another of the nature names so popular now.

I didn't even know it was unisex. I'd automatically think girl.

I know a little boy called Brook. He’s not British. It really suits him.

I know a girl Brooke
But it reminds me of David Beckhams son

It’s ok.
I don’t especially like it but don’t see why it can’t be unisex. As it’s not as if it’s a very popular name for girls so I don’t think it will cause much confusion (it will a bit.)

I know a boy Brook. His sister has a unisex name too, and i get them mixed up.

If I didn't know it as a girl's name I could see it as a boy's. I think lots of boys don't like unisex names which are seen more as girls names so I wouldn't use it personally.

We like Brooks for a boy. It is American origin but I’ve seen more of it in the UK recently.

I actually considered Brook for a boy. It was in a baby naming book and I really liked it cause it was a nature inspired name. I decided against it, in preference of a different name but I still think it's lovely. It's not a common name though, so I think it depends whether you want something traditional or more unusual.
