No! Early 20s (we were big fans of Simon and Garfunkel!)

I don’t get it :/

Depending on accent they both sound the same.

stargirl1701 · 11/01/2023 08:47

When an adult see something they often to say to a child, Look, Archie, cows!

Look, Luke is the same sound repeated.

I have a nephew called Luke. SIL regrets it for this reason!

Mittens1717 · 11/01/2023 14:32

Arthur, popular but lovely name

AliceMcK · 11/01/2023 14:37

Edward or Arthur. Both family names for me, Arthur definitely my favourite but it’s also very popular at the moment, I don’t tend to like popular names but I think I’d be ok given I’d be naming him due to the family connection.

Also love Christopher and Joseph.

They are all good names. I'd go for George or Luke

My husband is called Luke. He didn’t get it either.

I have a Luke … he’s quite cool and well liked … nobody mucks about with his name :-)

Marisquita · 11/01/2023 14:54

Luke is brilliant - my favourite from your list.

cptartapp · 11/01/2023 15:05

I have a Luke and still love it. It's timeless really.
Like Edward without any silly nn like Teddy, Ned etc.
George is rather dull.
Dislike Arthur.

Adam? Zachary? Isaac? Elias? Alexander? William? James?

LlynTegid · 11/01/2023 15:11

I'd choose Luke over the others you list. Personal preference no other reason.

sanityisamyth · 11/01/2023 15:15

George or Edward

uncomfortablydumb53 · 11/01/2023 16:26

Luke

Firebird83 · 11/01/2023 18:38

Luke

Mol1628 · 11/01/2023 18:41

Luke

I love others but a bit too common at the moment.

MushroomQueen · 06/02/2023 21:32

I have a Luke Dennis and James Sebastian. Luke came out of nowhere and its a gd strong name

xprincessxjanetx · 07/02/2023 20:34

I like all except Luke. George just trumps them for me.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 07/02/2023 20:36

Luke.

Starryskiesinthesky · 07/02/2023 20:37

I love Luke .

DNBU · 09/02/2023 22:55

Edward

emmathedilemma · 10/02/2023 10:05

I think them all but I think the apparent popularity of Ned/Ted/Teddy at the moment would put me off using Edward.
Luke is perhaps less popular but can sound awful in some accents (such as those that say Look in the same way as Luke)

ethermint · 10/02/2023 10:07

maybe wait until the kid is born and see which of them suits him best. You'll know when you see him!

piggijg · 10/02/2023 10:14

Luke by a mile. It's a solid name that works well internationally. I'd go for Lucas but call him Luke.

Vexxa · 10/02/2023 12:09

I love all of them, think I would go for George. What about Henry?

Groutyonehereagain · 10/02/2023 12:16

Luke ♥️
