Hi @Eleonorex
Lilah or Isobel are nice names

Mumofgirls2017 · 31/12/2022 22:07

Lilah. How about Delilah nn Lilah?

lesst favourite is Nevaeh sorry!

strawberry2017 · 31/12/2022 22:09

Violet, Lila or Isobel

KeepingTheWaterOut · 31/12/2022 22:20

Violet or Isobel are nice.

The snag with Linly is that anyone hearing it would assume it started with Lyn. You'd get all sorts of odd spellings - Lynlee, Lynnlee, Lynnleigh, and I'd guess some people would mishear and think she was Lynsey.

Thruandthru1 · 01/01/2023 08:46

Violet and Isobel are lovely

Violet and Isabelle are nice. The rest are varying degrees of awful.

This.

TheaBrandt · 01/01/2023 08:50

Agree with the majority. She won’t thank you for a lifetime of having to spell her name. Isobel is fine though very very popular. I have teens and the names Izzy and Eve are so common they are generic for girl now

PritiPatelsMaker · 01/01/2023 09:16

Linly - it's an area around here so it's a no from me.

Delyla - Delilah is lovely, but not Delyla.

Nevaeh - awful

Lilah- prefer Leila

Violet - I like it. Not especially current but it's a good name.

Isobel - it's a very popular name, especially when you take all of the different spellings into consideration. I do prefer this spelling out of them all though. DD seems to have so many friends called Izzy that it can be a bit hard to keep track. Mist go by their full name at school.

mintdaisy · 01/01/2023 09:17

My favourite is Violet

Theemptychair23 · 01/01/2023 10:27

I love Delilah, with Lilah as the shortened version.

Enko · 01/01/2023 12:44

Linly I like this but prefer the spelling Lindley Also like Lindsey/say
Delilah Pretty enough for me
Nevaeh* * Never liked this
Lilah Pretty but not one Id use
Violet ok but popular
Isobel Ok I prefer this spelling to others.

user1492757084 · 01/01/2023 13:24

Inspired by your list, I love Linley, Isobel, Lila and Lindsay.

Bournetilly · 01/01/2023 13:27

Violet or Isobel but I don’t like that spelling I prefer Isabelle.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 01/01/2023 13:33

Violet
Isobel
Delilah
Lila

All absolutely lovely if spelled correctly.

Neveah is ghastly and wtf is Linly?

There's clearly good taste somewhere, so let it shine!

DuchessOfSausage · 01/01/2023 16:18

Linly - looks like you can't spell Linley, a surname. Dreadful
Delyla - looks like you can't spell Delilah. Dreadful
Nevaeh - dreadful
Lilah - not keen
Violet - ok
Isobel - will get her name misspelt a fair bit but ok

DuchessOfSausage · 01/01/2023 16:21

Delayla sounds like a nickname for an unpunctual Layla. Dreadful

BorisJohnsonsHair · 01/01/2023 16:28

Please don't give your child a yooneek spelling. Violet is lovely.

Fivebeanchilli · 01/01/2023 16:35

Linly - looks weird. Linsey is a name.
Delyla - Delilah is ok. Why spell it wrongly?
Nevaeh - tacky
Lilah - not keen
Violet - lovely
Isobel - ok
