Robyn is my favourite, and I like Imogen too.

Theoldwoman · 24/12/2022 07:04

Imogen

Leolala · 24/12/2022 07:45

Love Robyn - gorgeous

Krakenwakes · 24/12/2022 08:34

Imogen out of those.
Then Sienna.
I don’t like Robyn spelled like that. I’d use Robin.

PeaceJoySleep · 24/12/2022 08:38

I love Robin
Sienna seems like a celebrity baby name to me. Siena/Sienna - don't dislike it but there's something too trendy about it. It will date horribly.

Imogen is ok too but I think she'd end up being immy which sounds a lot like a lot of other names that have been popular for years. So, definitely Robin!

Consufed · 24/12/2022 08:58
  1. Robyn
  2. Sienna
  3. Imogen
BibblesworthTheThird · 24/12/2022 09:06

Definitely Robyn, not keen on the others.

LizzieBet14 · 24/12/2022 09:12

Imogen

ladygindiva · 24/12/2022 09:25

Definitely Robyn. Especially given the time of year. Minor point , I prefer the " Robin" spelling personally, ( I have one ) , but either way it's a fabulous name. Adult DD loves and has always loved being called Robin.

2chocolateoranges · 24/12/2022 09:27

Robyn, Sienna and then Imogen.

i always thought Robyn with a Y was the girls version and Robin with the i was for a boy. The Robyn’s I know are all girls and my friend has an uncle Robin.

miniaturepixieonacid · 24/12/2022 09:51

I love Robyn. Might be slightly put off giving it to a Boxing Day baby because there could be years of comments but think I'd still do it. Would stick with the the y spelling for that reason too (plus, in the UK, it's always been Robyn for a girl and Robin for a boy. I don't think other countries have that distinction so it might be fading out here too, idk)

I like Imogen too. Sienna is ok.

Notellinganyone · 24/12/2022 09:53

Imogen or Robyn. Like Imogen best.

There are plenty of female Robins - Robin Curtis the actress comes to mind, and Robin in the Strike books although admittedly she is fictional! I prefer it without the y, but either way, I think Robin is a lovely name for a Boxing Day child. I also really like Imogen.

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/12/2022 10:03

Congratulations

love Robin (no need for the y spelling IMO, it’s a weird 70s invention. Robin is unisex eg actress Robin Wright)

Imogen is OK

Not keen on Sienna - Serena, Sabrina, Selina, Sanchia, Susannah, Shoshanna, are all nicer alternatives I think

LauraChant · 24/12/2022 10:03

plus, in the UK, it's always been Robyn for a girl and Robin for a boy

I don’t think this is true, I had several books when I was young with female Robins

I think the Robyn spelling for a girl is new-ish (60s, 70s)

I know two elderly female UK Robins - one just Robin the other short for Roberta

I don’t think the y spelling is used for girls anywhere else - in the US it’s deffo just Robin. I think it’s fussy.

PeaceJoySleep · 24/12/2022 10:05

I would have thought Robyn in America and Robin in England, Ireland, Wales Scotland.

Also, I think that Robin has pretty much fallen out of use for boys so if I heard of a baby Robin born 2022 I would still assume girl. I mean, I wouldn't bet my house on it, but I would think Robin is a girl.

KylieCharlene · 24/12/2022 10:06

Love Imogen- classy and elegant
Like Sienna - boho chic
Not a fan of Robyn (or Robin)- dated and American.

lucxxx · 24/12/2022 10:09

I also thought that Robyn was the female version! I will definitely keep that in mind! I was more worried about Sienna being American and dated, such a hard choice as I don’t want to chose a name to then regret not choosing another name in the future.

I love Robyn especially for a Winter baby. However I'd spell it Robin.

AdaColeman · 24/12/2022 10:43

Imogen!

JamSandle · 24/12/2022 10:44

Imogen

KirstenBlest · 24/12/2022 11:55

Of the three, Imogen.
Robyn/Robin as a middle name would be a nice nod to the time of year. Boxing Day birthday is not the best birthday.
Good luck Flowers

Hobbesmanc · 24/12/2022 12:49

Aww Robin is gorgeous for a Christmas baby. Do you think she'll get Bobbie? Reminds me of the railway children. Although she was a Roberta. Imogen is timeless. I know it's fairly trendy but it was the name Enid Blyton chose for her daughter in the thirties.

Sienna just feels a bit Brit pop and of it's time. Like Brittany or India.

lucxxx · 24/12/2022 13:06

I think Bobbie is cute for a nickname! But I personally probably won’t shorten her name.
