Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes

Summer2424 · 23/12/2022 01:50

Not too similar

WarmBeerAndSandwiches · 23/12/2022 02:00

No, not at all.

Billslills · 23/12/2022 05:20

Not too similar but I think a bit of a mouthful / tongue twist when said together ?

xmaslurgy · 23/12/2022 05:23

Elsie?

Purplemagnolias · 23/12/2022 08:22

Way too similar!

Imagine calling their names up the stairs - it's hard to hear a difference

TeenDivided · 23/12/2022 08:24

I think hard to tell the difference when being called out, e.g. in a playground, two names starting and ending with the same sound and only one sound in between.

YooniqueMe · 23/12/2022 09:16

Imo yes because they are hard to say together. Sorry.

DuchessOfSausage · 23/12/2022 10:56

Too similar

DancingSober · 23/12/2022 10:57

I'd go with Elsie instead of Elsa. I do find Elsa and Ezra a bit too similar and a bit of a tongue twister

cantforthelifeofme · 23/12/2022 11:08

I don't usually comment on mn baby name threads but honestly I feel these two names would be too similar.

When they're older their teachers, friends, family, would get them mixed up/say wrong name and it would drive the kids mad, I'd imagine.

winonarose · 23/12/2022 14:08

They're fine and not too similar

DramaAlpaca · 23/12/2022 14:11

Much too similar

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/12/2022 10:31

Too tongue twisty yes

Ezra and

Elsbeth
Stella
Sarah
Lois
Evelyn
Robin

goldenfoliage · 24/12/2022 11:54

look this two names from linguistic perspective
you're naming kids ezwa and ewza.

I know a couple who did name kids with only r and l being different (it's was not ezra and elsa, but different names that had same letters but one, and that one were l and r. think marina and malina and yes, these weren't the names either)
what happened their kids have trouble with pronunciations of r and l.

wanted to post here, because some people didn't see similarities, but yeah they're one letter apart.

Thanks guys. Elsa and Ezra weren’t the exact names I was looking at but the proper ones are too outing. So thought I’d use them as examples. The actual names are both a bit more different sounding in the middle so it’s probably not as bad.
