KirstenBlest · 22/12/2022 13:47

@808Kate1 , Siân is welsh, Sia isn't.

808Kate1 · 22/12/2022 14:04

@KirstenBlest I never said it was. OP asked how you would pronounce it and that's exactly how I would have done because I have literally never heard the name before, and Sian is the first name that came to mind.

TofuonToast · 22/12/2022 14:05

Shh-ah

shard5 · 22/12/2022 14:14

Shah here as well

SirChenjins · 22/12/2022 14:16

See-uh like the singer

lippyblue20 · 22/12/2022 14:18

How else would you pronounce it? SIGH-AH probably not many would do that??

stormelf · 22/12/2022 14:26

I know a sia in her fifties and she pronounces it See ah which I think is same way the singer pronounces it

Largethighsbadeyes · 22/12/2022 14:31

See a

KirstenBlest · 22/12/2022 14:32

I didn't say you did @808Kate1 , but Siân is said as Shân because it is welsh. Sia isn't welsh so would be See-a or Sigh-a. My first thought was Sienna.

Sïa bant (see-a bant) means something in Welsh Grin
