Love Matthew and Edward.

Leo and Arthur are ok but a bit trendy.

I really dislike Tristan and Hector, sorry.

PurBal · 28/11/2022 15:37

Edward and Matthew

Spanielsarepainless · 28/11/2022 15:53

Tristan
Matthew
Arthur
Edward

Tristan - but maybe Tristram to avoid some of the it’s posh comments

Don’t especially like Hector, think Matthew is a bit dull, and while I love Arthur it’s way overused as are the rest of them

AletheiaVeritas · 26/01/2023 17:09

Leo - beautiful, simple and a very old Latin classic that’s having a big resurgence!

Roseyposeypudding · 26/01/2023 17:10

Hector

evtheria · 26/01/2023 17:11

Tristan

BasiliskStare · 26/01/2023 17:34

Edward by a country mile

everythingsapickle · 26/01/2023 22:51

Edward is my favourite. Classic and lovely.

I also like Leo and Hector.

Matthew is OK.

Not a fan of Arthur or Tristan.

Hobbesmanc · 26/01/2023 22:54

They're all solid sturdy choices. No one is going to think them in any way out of the ordinary except maybe Tristan. Which is a little posh boy for me. Like a Rupert or Sebastian.

I love Matt and Teddy so great nick name opportunities too.

LeCarre · 26/01/2023 23:02

Leo is lovely, also like Arthur and Tristan.

Hector sounds ridiculous and pretentious.

The rest are quite nice.

Luana1 · 26/01/2023 23:04

I love the sound of Tristan, but it's meaning puts me off. Arthur and Leo are my favourite others from your list.

Whatwhatwhatnow · 26/01/2023 23:35

Matthew.
I don't like Tristan as I find it hard to say.

Edward. No nicknames.

No nicknames is impossible, really, children may like them and use them. I always think it's a bit weird when parents set this kind of rule, you give the name to the child, but then it belongs to them, not you!

Cuppasoupmonster · 26/01/2023 23:41

Matthew and Edward are dullsville
Hector sounds like a farmyard animal
Tristan is okay as is Arthur
Leo is the best but then I’m planning on using it!

Leo! Fabulous name.

FixItUpChappie · 27/01/2023 00:13

Tristan is so lovely and not overused

Leo in particular is too popular IMO

Cannottryasp00 · 27/01/2023 00:15

Sorry but not a fan of any of these names

Marcipex · 27/01/2023 00:16

Edward.
Tristan is awfully wet and Hector is a bit harsh.

HeavenIsAHalfpipe · 27/01/2023 00:18

Tristan and Hector are awful.

Edward and Matthew are all right.

Leo and Arthur are the best.

RoseMartha · 27/01/2023 00:19

Matthew or Tristan

HeavenIsAHalfpipe · 27/01/2023 00:19

When I hear 'Hector' I think of someone bullying and goading someone. Awful name IMO.
