Some witchy names

I love witchy names (that make me think of kind witches, not evil ones). Agatha is one of my favourites but my husband dislikes it so unfortunately it's not on our list. Sabrina is on our list and I love it. Last night I was reading "The Worst Witch" to my little cousin and encountered some more lovely witchy names. What do you think?

Enid
Mildred
Maud
Dawn
Gloria
Ethel

and from the TV show that I remember watching as a kid (some names are the names of the actresses):

Ruby
Felicity
Sybil
Georgina
Drusilla

Thoughts? And would you say that Felicity is a posh name? I just noticed lots of comments like that in an old post on the name that I found.

Ruby is already on our list too but feels a bit "woman in her 20s" to me. Husband loves it, though.

I wouldn't consider all of them for my list but curious what you think. The ones I would consider adding (if my husband agrees): Enid (this was also suggested by someone here, thanks!), Felicity.

I met a Mildred the other day. I’ve never met one IRL before. She was a HCP in her 30s. I thought it was lovely and really unusual.

Not keen on Maud or Ethel. Great for their characters but a bit frumpy on a girl or young woman.

i know loads of little Rubys, and a gorgeous young woman in her 20s. She was a cute, curly haired toddler and it was adorable on her then too.

Esme is a great name, and suitably witchy. Same goes for Megan/Meg.

Samantha is another good name and you dont hear it much now. It was more popular in the 70s but I think it’s timeless.

I don't like your list much sorry!

Ruby is ok.

I actually like drusilla but it makes me think of the vampire in Angel.

I like some of the other suggestions on the list (esme, Sabrina, Meredith, raven)

First one I thought of was Eglantine (bedknobs and broomsticks). But I'm not sure you should call your child that 🤣
I really like Ruby and Sabrina.

Mildred, Ethel, Maud are ‘old lady’ names to my ear, rather than witchy. I know they’re from The Worst Witch, but that’s not the first association I’d make. That sort of name is popular these days.

Sybil is quite cool.

I like Sabrina.

Glinda?

I have a Felicity (we are definitely NOT posh 😆) She gets a lot of nicknames though - Fifi, Fliss, Flick, Flossy ...

I love the name Drusilla.
