Claudia vs Margaret?

Hello - first post! Our daughter is due any day now and we are finding names difficult, but feel it's between Margaret and Claudia, with the set middle name of Rose. All have family connections are we are not concerned about meanings. We think that both go with our son's name, are good with Claude as a nn as she gets older, and flitting around the various Margaret nn's. Any thoughts? Thank-you!

I have a 13 year old Claudia and haven’t met another child with the same name yet

O Only associate it with Thatcher

I could never like Margaret as it would put me in mind of Thatcher.

Margaret. Secondary school teacher here and in Y9 and below there are 4 Maggies. So I can imagine a young Margaret and I think it's a cool name. They are all lovely girls, which helps.

I'm not sure I like a daughter called Claudia and a son named Claude. Did I read that right? Too similar in my opinion, for siblings.

As individual names, I do like both with Rose though. And no one in her generation will think of Princess Margaret because she has already been dead for 20 years or so. Surely?

Definitely a girl, so Claudia is the option (her great grandfather was a Claude) :)

Claudia by a mile. I’d much rather be a Claudia than a Margaret (no offence to your lovely Grandma). How about Claudia Margaret Rose and use all three?
