One syllable boys and girls names

Do you ever feel like you’ve looked at that many names that they’ve all blended into one? That’s where I’m at!

I’m due a surprise baby in 11 weeks and we are still no closer to finding a name for this baby. We have a son who has a one syllable name (quite usual in UK more popular in US) and are looking for something similar.

Our surname is 3 syllables, common Scottish surname (ends in ‘on) so ideally wanted a one syllable first name so it flowed.

I know i’m being picky, but names are very important. We just knew with my sons name, but nothing is standing out for us to even consider putting it on a list for when they are born.

Can anybody suggest some one syllable boys and girls names that are not overly popular in the UK?

Not sure if Sage has been suggested? I'm really into that name recently! I think it could go either way!

As Pig said, it's quite nice to have a name where you have the choice of shortening it or not.
Mine is one of the one syllable names mentioned lots of times above and I used to be jealous of siblings and others who could have 'cool' abrieviations.
