For a girl? What do we think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Tiredandancient50 · 21/08/2022 14:43

I prefer the original name Humbrella. All the Humphrellas I have met have been quite naughty. I also like the male equivalent Humfella.

BrightBlueFlamingo · 21/08/2022 14:44

Joke? Reverse?? If not maybe just stick to Ella!😋

hugefanofcheese · 21/08/2022 14:46

Can't you at least try and pick something a bit less wildly overused? Isn't your child an individual to you?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 21/08/2022 14:50

My only worry would be that it isn't really 'edgy' enough.
Spell it Humph7rella (the 7 is of course silent) to make it rise above the merely banal.

Ellie56 · 21/08/2022 14:52

Not a lot. Hmm

If this is serious, then NO! Don't saddle your poor child with a name that sounds like a cross between a camel and an elephant.

DramaAlpaca · 21/08/2022 14:54

I'm either having a sense of humour failure or there are a lot of unfunny 'joke' threads in this topic lately.

wendywoopywoo222 · 21/08/2022 14:07

Well I obviously love it as my triplets are Humphrey, Humpfrella and Humpernicious.

Good choice.

Spat my tea out! 🤣

Goawayquickly · 21/08/2022 14:56

Beautiful old name, must be due a comeback.

midsomermurderess · 21/08/2022 14:57

Oh, mate.

Str8talker · 21/08/2022 14:58

I was thinking Belimia, or Chlamydia.

PhilomenaPringle · 21/08/2022 15:01

Quite. Everybody acting like it's something flash and modern, I called my first daughter Humphrella over 30 years ago. There's nothing new under the sun.

JustJustWhy · 21/08/2022 15:06

We fink its gr8

Humphrella
Ethelfromnumber73 · 21/08/2022 15:12

It'd be shortened to Ella and there's loads of those. You need something more unusual

bengalcat · 21/08/2022 15:13

Ella without the hump would be better

BeggarsMeddle · 21/08/2022 15:25

JustJustWhy · 21/08/2022 15:06

Oh yes! Spudulike - pronounced Spdoolikka.

A real classic there. Always surprised me it didn't take off in the naming charts...

maddiemookins16mum · 21/08/2022 15:25

Nah, maybe go with Clittorise instead.

Staynow · 21/08/2022 15:27

People are really big on meanings for names from what I've seen on here, so I came up for one for you - Humphrella, one who likes to hump. Super.

BeggarsMeddle · 21/08/2022 15:29

maddiemookins16mum · 21/08/2022 15:25

Nah, maybe go with Clittorise instead.

Or the Italian version - Clittorissa.

stuntbubbles · 21/08/2022 15:30

Could you hyphenate it? Humphrella-Mae?

Kerrrmieee · 21/08/2022 15:32

Humptastic!

Kerrrmieee · 21/08/2022 15:33

Humphrella-Bella

Diverseopinions · 21/08/2022 15:42

Great for a tortoise. I used to holiday sit for a boy tortoise called Humphrey, so a female called Humphrella to partner him would have been perfect!

ReginaPerrin · 21/08/2022 15:44

Kerrrmieee · 21/08/2022 15:33

Humphrella-Bella

Humphrella-Bella-Ella uh (tell me more, tell me more, did you get very far).

OhMerde · 21/08/2022 15:46

I prefer Harumph.

MrsMoastyToasty · 21/08/2022 15:46

I personally prefer Hughetta, but that's because it goes with our surname Da Pies.
