I have several but I think Matthew and John deserve a revival.

No judgement, just curious. Which names do you think deserve more attention?

Caroline - love this name nearly named DD this but DP thought it was still a bit dated.

Luredbyapomegranate · 15/08/2022 22:42

John absolutely. I noticed it had a mini bounce (amongst some slightly posh friends) in about 2005 but never built.

I have always been slightly surprised Mavis and Enid didn’t make it back with Mabel and Edith, might be too late now.

I like all the love for Caroline. I love my DDs name, but also kind of wish I’d called her Caroline. I think it’s beautiful.

I love Laura. No little Laura's around at the moment

A lot of the mentioned names sound lovely and fresh exactly BECAUSE they're so underused.

If they become popular again, they'll lose this attraction imo

Olivia

Why does a name which has been in the top 5 since 2005 and the most popular name for eight of those years need to come back or be more popular?

Matthew never went away always been lots of baby Matthews where I am. The odd John you here occasionally but not many.
should be more baby Walter's although I have heard it once or twice in the last few years.
How about Barbara

Peggy is a great name, well worth reviving. I'm keen on Jean and Joan too.

I love the name John.I also love "middle age" names for girls such as Janet, Susan and Judith - nice classic sounding names with lots of nick name potential.

I totally agree. I would also add Jill to this list.
