We are due to have a baby girl in 8 weeks!
We are struggling to decide between these two names:

Daisy Grace or Mabel Grace.

I love Mabel as it’s slightly more unique and can have the nicknames May or Belle?! But Daisy has been a fave of mine for a while.
What do you think? 🌼💕🌸😁

Much prefer Mabel!
Mabel Daisy is lovely if you're not too stuck on Grac.

Amdone123 · 29/07/2022 15:41

I love Daisy Grace.
Mabel is too old for me. I know there's a fashion for old names ( Elsie, Iris, etc), but some are just too old and Mabel falls in to that category for me.

PancakesWithCheese · 29/07/2022 15:50

Mabel as I think Daisy is too cutsey. To be honest I find Grace hugely overused as a middle name, every girl has it.

Albobz · 29/07/2022 15:56

@PancakesWithCheese I know what you are saying, but for us Grace has sentimental value to as it’s my aunties name who recently passed away.

Mabel

20viona · 29/07/2022 16:03

I love Mabel daisy actually. Grace is the epitome of dull.

Cloud16 · 29/07/2022 16:04

Daisy. I'd rather be a Daisy than a Mabel as Mabel sounds frumpy to me. What name would you prefer to be called yourself? That might help you decide.

Purplecatshopaholic · 29/07/2022 16:10

Daisy is a lovely name. Mabel is just frumpy (but I do not get this thing for old fashioned names). Baby Mabel - just no. Would suit her when she’s 80 right enough…!

Pemba · 29/07/2022 16:11

My late grandma, who would have been well over 100 by now, was a Mabel. So to me it seems very 'old lady'. Amused to see there's a singer known as Mabel. But that is perhaps very subjective to my generation. Objectively I suppose its not a bad name, and not that different to Isabel or Annabel really.

But I do find Daisy much prettier and fresher.

Primatrying · 29/07/2022 17:10

Daisy. Flows better with Grace and Mabel seems faddy to me.

Whatever00 · 29/07/2022 17:18

I like mabel

Aquaticshark11 · 29/07/2022 17:25

Daisy is much nicer, I really don't like the name Mabel.

garlictwist · 29/07/2022 17:25

I am not usually into "old lady chic" but I don't mind Mabel.

Daisy is insufferably twee.

Clairewentoverthemountain · 29/07/2022 17:25

Daisy

Luredbyapomegranate · 29/07/2022 19:50

Mabel - Daisy is too cute for me, although it’s got more spark than the super drippy Lily and Poppy

There are loads of Mabel’s though - 10/15 years ago it was super popular

Mumofgirls2017 · 29/07/2022 22:14

Love both. Slightly prefer Daisy

WhackingPhoenix · 29/07/2022 22:17

I love both. Daisy is one of my favourite names but it would sound absolutely ridiculous with our surname!

sageandbasil · 29/07/2022 22:27

Mabel

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 29/07/2022 23:16

Neither are really my taste (I find Daisy a bit too cute and Mabel too old fashioned even though it's trendy now) but of the two definitely Mabel - May is such a lovely sounding diminutive (and a classic name in it's own right) and of course she could probably get away with Belle if she wanted too.

MysticCT · 29/07/2022 23:21

I prefer Daisy as Mabel seems too old fashioned to me. I've got an old ladies name, but not one that has ever been popular and I hate it.

Louise0701 · 29/07/2022 23:24

Daisy Grace sounds abit like disgrace to me.

Daisy Mabel is nice.

Fingerscrossed22 · 29/07/2022 23:25

Daisey

Beautifulsunflowers · 30/07/2022 11:12

Daisy as a first name. It’s really lovely.
Daisy Mabel Grace
or Daisy Grace and get a cat called Mabel!!

for what it’s work I adore the name Grace - it’s elegant and a lovely way to honour your Auntie.

Kghl03 · 01/08/2022 20:28

Mabel sounds like a dogs name to me, sorry! I love Daisy!

cptartapp · 01/08/2022 20:29

Anything but Daisy.
