Twin sister name to go with Freya

[Twinsurprise]

Hi,

We’ve recently found out we are expecting twin girls. We like Freya for one twin but not sure about what to call the second twin. Ideally we’d like a name beginning with A. Any suggestions please? X

As suggested already a couple of times Astrid sounds lovely with Freya - better than what I was going to suggest.

I also thought that naming two sisters after Goddesses of War would be inviting argumentative teenage years!

Although I thought Freyja was the Goddess of fertility

I believe it's fertility and war among other things...multitalented!

Weirdly I thought an A name before reading op

Annie - although I don’t love the name it just came to me, so something like that

Freya and Astrid is a lovely combination.

Before I read the “starting with an A” I thought of these:

My husband really likes Ariella, which we hadn’t thought of before. And he vetoes most names I suggest so that is a real bonus.

I also really like Astrid and Athena. Another name on our short list is Alba. Thanks again everyone!
