Inspired by another name request...

Are there any nature inspired names for boys that aren't so out there? It seems there are so many for girls...

Leif is actually a Scandinavian name. But if you have no Scandi connections no doubt people would just think you didn’t know how to spell Leaf.

I’m intrigued by the suggestion of Ross. I would associate that with Scotland, but not nature. (I’m Scottish).

Rock?
Rowan is probably the best one actually.

Yes, rowan is lovely. It's the most equivalent to Fern, Willow, Wren type names I think. Heath is nice too

@HaveringWavering , doesn't it mean headland? I only know 2 called Ross, one is scottish and the other english. I like the name (probably helped by both of them being dishy)

bloominglovelyorange · 24/06/2022 21:55

I like Jasper , Heath and Bay

Rowan is my baby girl's name, it's a nice nature name but does merge a bit with all the RoMans (Roman is fastest rising boy name, currently top 30 but still rising so may get top 15 soon- a few years ago would never have been an issue but very trendy now)

I just saw on Facebook a baby boy called Bloom

Mol1628 · 25/06/2022 08:16

Warren ( I know it doesn’t have a nature meaning officially but I think it sounds like it should!)

newusernamelouise · 25/06/2022 08:19

North, Briar, River

HaveringWavering · 25/06/2022 09:50

Robin, of course! That’s my brother’s name and I didn’t think of it 🤦‍♀️

Maybe. I’m married to one though, and don’t think he knows that!

Brock

@HaveringWavering , Ross in Ross-on-Wye is an anglicised form of Rhos, which is moor. Not suggesting Rhos as a name - too similar to Rhosyn, a feminine noun.
