Hi! What do you think about the name Fio? What are your thoughts about it? We are looking for a name who's easy to pronounce in English and German. Thanks

I'm not keen.. I would assume someone was saying Theo but dropping the T.

DuchessOfSausage · 11/06/2022 12:15

Is it a name in German? It sounds like Theo said by someone who says f for th

I'm sure there are better names

GreatCuppa · 11/06/2022 13:11

I would say in English, it just looks like you can spell or say Theo. Sorry..

ofwarren · 11/06/2022 13:16

As others have said, I'd think it was Theo. Lots of accents in the UK say F instead of Th.

Thanks for your feedback. Here some information to the name: Fio is a boy's name of Italian origin. Meaning of the name "Fiore" = Flower.

But it doesn’t even sound anything like Fiore (which is the greatest either) sorry :(

MassiveSalad22 · 11/06/2022 16:12

Fye-o or Fee-o? I immediately read it the first way.

I don’t really think anything of it tbh. Not sure, just sounds like a sound to me rather than a name, in all honesty.

There was a thread the other day with a girl called Fiora which I thought was lovely but I can’t process Fio for some reason.

Thank you all for your feedback. That really helps us 👍🏻

Why not use Florian -that works and is a long-standing name?
