Felicity, Natasha, Harriet or Isobel? Those are the only 4 we can agree on. Older dd is Anna.

and middle name would be Diana after my dh late mum

Isobel is my favourite.

My least favourite is Felicity, I find it too long.

Definitely Isobel; lovely name and spelling, not as common as people seem to think (or at least not where I live) and goes beautifully with Anna.

She'll get her name misspelled a lot. Isabel, Isabelle and Isabella have been popular for ages. I know lots of them

names.darkgreener.com/#isabe (for Isabel/le/la)

Dinoteeth · 09/06/2022 11:18

I think Isobel / Isobelle is one of those names people will clarify before they write it a bit like Catherine, Katherine or Kathryn, all are normal standard spellings.

starkid · 09/06/2022 11:19

Harriet is gorgeous, and so is Anna, I love the sound of those two together :)

KirstenBlest · 09/06/2022 11:38

@Dinoteeth , given the popularity of Isabel/le, she'll probably get asked 'two Ls and E?' and get Isabel. Isobel is much less popular, and Isobelle just looks wrong

If someone said Cathryn/Kathryn/Katharine/Katherine/Catherine, chances are people will ask 'With a K or C?' and assume it is Katherine/Catherine.

Felicity Diana is the nicest.

Harriet Diana goes best with Anna.

AlopeciaStrong · 09/06/2022 15:03

My daughters are Anna and…Isobel! I can confirm that they go beautifully together and that so far they have been the only ones with their names in classes. They are definitely not the most popular names now.

Mumnetter111 · 09/06/2022 15:04

How about Elsa?

KylieCharlene · 09/06/2022 15:06

Love Felicity Diana

DogsAndGin · 09/06/2022 15:15

Felicity

octoberfarm · 09/06/2022 15:16

Isobel or Harriet Smile

danascully96 · 09/06/2022 16:46

Felicity! So pretty and lyrical. Fliss is a cute nn too.

Harriet sounds like “Harry-ette” in my American accent, so I can’t be fair in my analysis of its merits

Natasha is a mysterious and lovely name! Sasha could be a fun nn. Anna and Natasha do share that “a” ending, though, if that bothers you.

Isobel is a nice enough name but unexciting and doesn’t grab me.

I vote Anna and Felicity Diana ❤️

danascully96 · 09/06/2022 16:47

Correction: Harriet’s more like “Harry-IT” in my accent

KirstenBlest · 09/06/2022 17:49

That's just in your accent @danascully96 , most people say it normally

danascully96 · 09/06/2022 18:35

“Normally” is obviously subjective when it comes to accents, given the diversity of accents in the English-speaking world alone. I personally don’t like Harriet because of how my accent sounds saying it, which is why I conceded that I can’t fairly critique the name Harriet, but some people appreciate knowing that names will be pronounced differently in different places :) Users are allowed to rank and review names honestly here, meaning we can say what we like and don’t like about names.

KirstenBlest · 09/06/2022 18:45

Not many people say it as Harry-IT
The stress is on the Harr bit not the et

I like Natasha best. I don't think it's dated I think it's quite timeless. When I hear the name Natasha I imagine a pretty popular dark haired girl. The other names I feel are more popular and therefore are sort of anyone names.

OneFootintheRave · 09/06/2022 19:09

Harriet. So elegant and classic.

Isobel
I like Natasha but it doesn't go with Anna.
I really dislike Harriet.
I don't think Felicity goes with Anna either.

Luredbyapomegranate · 09/06/2022 22:09

Felicity Diana - v nice

Natasha is ok but Natasha Diana not great

Harriet is alright, but a little twee compared to the elegant Anna

Isabel is lovely but has been done to death

Squashedraddish · 09/06/2022 22:31

Thank you- lots to consider! I’m leaning towards Isobel but do have a love for the name Natasha. Although agree it doesn’t flow as well with the middle name. Also considering the spelling implications of Isobel- will she always get it spelt wrong? Then I lean back to felicity or Harriet! I like the nicknames Lissy or Hattie for those

Isobel isn't the most popular spelling but it is the traditional Scottish spelling so still a widely known variant. My dd does occasionally get is spelt wrong but you just need to say "with an o" and no more is said.

Dinoteeth · 10/06/2022 08:38

Isobel is a fine spelling, I'm scottish and it's the way I'd spell it but I also thing there is a slight difference in the pronunciation between IsObel and IsAbel
