Would you assume someone with the name Natasha was born in December?

It means “Christmas Day”and i have a daughter due in October but im concerned it’s not sound right on someone not born near Christmas. I just think this name is very classy and pretty and isn’t really heard of nowadays. Thoughts?

Nope - I had no idea...

I do expect Hollys to be born in December, but they rarely seem to be!

Have known a few Natasha/Tashas over the years and only know one of their birthdays which was May. Didn’t seem out of place at all.

resm · 07/06/2022 21:42

And I’m born on Christmas Day.

blameitonthecaffeine · 07/06/2022 22:56

No, not at all. I wouldn't even assume it about a Natalie. Both names are too common (though not currently) and the Christmas link not widely enough known for it to be an assumption, imo.

My eldest, now adult, daughter is a Natasha. She was born in July.

No. Never heard that before.

Holly, Ivy, Carol, Noelle - yes.

millerpie · 07/06/2022 23:09

Nope, not even remotely.

HerRoyalNotness · 07/06/2022 23:18

Nope, I’m a March baby.

onlythreenow · 07/06/2022 23:21

It would never occur to me to think that.

RenegadeMatron · 07/06/2022 23:25

I really wouldn’t worry about it, OP.

People are called Claudia, very few of them are actually lame.

My name means ‘devoted to God’. Believe me, I am not.

soulinablackberrypie · 10/06/2022 08:20

No. I do know the meaning of the name and understand the reasoning, but I think it is used all the year round in the UK and very few people would make the connection. As a nation we don't seem to be all that well informed about the meanings of names - obviously we all are, the people who are interested enough in names to go on a talkboard to discuss them, but I've lost count of the people I've met who don't even know the meaning of their own names. I would no more expect a Natasha to be born around Christmas time nowadays than I would expect a Thomas to be a twin.

It’s just a name, if you like it, use it 🤷‍♀️

motogirl · 10/06/2022 08:24

No, I know 2 Natasha's neither born in December

motogirl · 10/06/2022 08:26

My cousin is Natalie - she's not a December birthday either. Don't worry

Dalekjastninerels · 10/06/2022 08:27

No I wouldn't and it's a pretty name.

Titsflyingsouth · 10/06/2022 08:27

Not even remotely...
