I like Nancy and it deserves more than a "filler" middle name. So how about:

Nancy Florence
Nancy Emilia
Nancy Sylvia
Nancy Frances
Nancy Elizabeth
Nancy Violet

Nancy

I knew a Sadie at school. She was so understatedly cool and lovely.

Definitely Sadie.

I only think of Oliver with Nancy.

Mol1628 · 02/06/2022 21:10

I love and would use both but I prefer Nancy. Sometimes it depends on surname too.

tulipsunday · 02/06/2022 21:12

Definitely prefer Sadie

I named my daughter Catherine so always nice to see when it's mentioned, I always worried it might be a bit out of favour these days

Catherine's a lovely name.

Derrymum123 · 02/06/2022 21:34

Nancy is nicer. Nancy Marie, Nancy Yvette, Nancy Jane.

I have a Sadie (m/n rosa) who is awesomely cool as she approaches her twenties - that said I knew a fabulous woman called Nancy too - both are fab names - perhaps see what she looks like?

Luredbyapomegranate · 02/06/2022 22:30

Nancy

Sadie is a bit marmite, if I were going for it I’d make it Sarah nn Sadie

Riverlee · 02/06/2022 22:32

Sadie

Always think of ‘Nancy Boy’, for Nancy, although I don’t think that term is used much anymore.

WeasilyPleased · 02/06/2022 23:26

Nancy because Sadie is made up of sad and die.

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 02/06/2022 23:42

Nancy is my favourite, although I really like Sadie as well!

I would have Nancy Iris 🥰

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/06/2022 10:41

Sadie Elizabeth would fit lovely

Fivebeanchilli · 03/06/2022 10:53

I like both but slightly prefer Sadie.

Sadie Elizabeth
Sadie Eliza
Sadie Beatrice
Sadie Florence
Sadie Camilla
Sadie Harriet

Starbeach · 04/06/2022 09:23

Neither

LadyApplejack · 04/06/2022 09:31

Sadie. You don't hear it much and I think Nancy is just so twee.

I love Sadie Julia.

Omgwhatthehell · 04/06/2022 09:39

I’m pregnant with a boy, but these two were top of our list had he been a girl.
We were pretty much decided on Sadie for a girl and like a previous posters little girl we also loved Rose, a family name, as a middle name.

I think Sadie is a bit of a marmite name as I have mentioned to a few people that’s what we would have used if the baby had been a girl and no one has been particularly keen.
I love it though! It’s feminine, but strong, not too popular, and not ‘cutesy’.
