Hi, so I'm having twin boys and am wondering which two first names you like the most from my list for them? ☺️
(Don't really need a bunch of negative comments on them all, just a pick of two favourites would help! 😂👍)

Jasper
Luca
Xander
Flynn
Eli
Ronan

Sorry I meant Ronan and Flynn, and Luca and Flynn!

Elijah nn Eli
Alexander nn Zander

Great names, but the diminutives are v nicknamey, and they might want to be Elijah and Al, or whatever, when they are big

Eli is not a nickname for Elijah… It’s a full, proper, really ancient name in its own right, and has no relation to Elijah. The fact that it happens to start with the same three letters doesn’t mean anything.

Shakeupandwakeup · 28/05/2022 14:09

Jasper and Xander or Luca and Eli.

I think Luca and Eli sound good together.

Blueberrywitch · 28/05/2022 14:12

Eli and Jasper for sure!

Blueberrywitch · 28/05/2022 14:13

Actually I changed my mind to Luca and Eli like previous poster, they do go nicely together. I also really like Eli as a name seperate from Elijah. Eli sounds very ancient/dystopian like the name of the last/first person on earth or something. Good vibes.

Lightningrain · 28/05/2022 14:21

Eli and Jasper or Eli and Luca.

starkid · 28/05/2022 15:07

@Blueberrywitch "Eli sounds very ancient/dystopian like the name of the last/first person on earth or something. Good vibes."

Haha I love that!

My husband isn't sure on Ronan or Eli, due to Ronan Keating 🙄and Eli sounding very biblical. Our surname is historically Irish, but a pretty standard/boring surname if you know what I mean.

OP that's exactly the same reason for not using Ronan that my partner gave. He objectively liked the name but Mr Keating was the problem (and I don't actually think my partner knows who he is, it's just what came up when he googled the name!). Whereas I don't have that association at all (I think it's just a more common name in Scotland/Ireland). Anyway, we went with Reuben in the end!

How about Roman and Jasper?

WannabeGilmoreGirl · 28/05/2022 16:00

I love Xander and Eli.

Also prefer Roman to Ronan.

IggyAce · 28/05/2022 16:03

Xander and Luca (prefer Lucian personally)

WeasilyPleased · 29/05/2022 00:21

I vote for Jasper and Eli.

thegreylady · 29/05/2022 09:54

I love all except Jasper who is often a comic or pantomime villain!
Ooh Sir Jasper…
My favourites are Flynn or Xander

AcrobaticCardigan · 29/05/2022 09:57

Flynn & Luca or Flynn & Ronan

sageandbasil · 29/05/2022 21:36

Flynn and Jasper. Both of my boys lisg I love them

bloominglovelyorange · 29/05/2022 21:37

@starkid really lovely list
I like Jasper and Eli best but like them all! Lovely list.
Rowan with a W is my baby daughter's name, so obviously I did like it when I picked it. A word of warning that RoMan with an M is the top fastest rising boy name. This means names like Rowan and Ronan all merge and get called RoMan by accident, it gets confusing for people. I know so many baby romans (with an M) now, it's boomed. Link to a graph of the official stats for the name Roman. currently top 30 and on course to be top 20 or top 10 soon as it's still rising. It really upsets me but it may not bother you at all !

Ronan and Jasper

starkid · 29/05/2022 21:52

I love that website above, used it for years!
Yeah we know someone with a Roman. I liked Ronan from a book :)
But yeah, pretty sure it's a veto from my husband though along with Eli :(

If you love Eli but husband not keen- how about Ellis ? @starkid Not sure if you're wanting more suggestions, please feel
free to ignore if not

WaitinginVain · 29/05/2022 22:08

Luca and Ronan. Not matchy but by far the nicest names, love both of these.

jackstini · 29/05/2022 22:09

Luca & Flynn

WhatDoIDoNow3 · 30/05/2022 01:13
