Unusual but not wacky boys names

I'm pregnant with my second and really struggling for boys names. Our first child has a more unusual name, along the lines of Otis, Rowan, Archer etc.
I need a similar idea for child two, starting with c or a would be ideal. Easily shortened to one syllable. A bit more unusual because DH is a teacher so wants a special name, not one he associates with other children.
Does such a name exist? Please help!

We have a Casper, who often goes by Cap. Not sure I've ever met someone who likes their name more than our kid does Grin

Unusual, Celtic, beginning with ‘C’, with no negative associations for schoolteacher DH - made me smile!

I’m in SE England and know at least six baby/toddler Caspians and three Caspers.

I know it's an impossible task lol.
Its not about negative associations tbh, we had to veto a lovely name for our first because a child in his class had that name.
Said child was wonderful, polite, clever, creative. But very much couldn't say the name without thinking of that child. (I am similarly struggling with one of DHS suggestions as it is the name of one of the most lovely person I ever met. But I can't see the name as anything other than their name.
Sort of why we went down the unique route with first child. I'm sure it's getting more popular but haven't met another yet.

Maxwell?

pinklavenders · 19/05/2022 11:15

Why should it ideally begin with C or A?

And is it the C sound, so could include Q and K, or is the letter that matters?

Quite like the alliteration with our surname. I think the letter and sound if that makes sense?
Thanks for the names, lots I like but we're vetoed the first time round, perhaps I can resubmit haha.

HELP! DS 2 is due shortly and we can’t agree on a name. DS 1 is called Xander (Alexander) and we want something equally “unique” but not too weird/cool. I love Leo but DH doesn’t

I've always liked Cal. Not sure if I would use it as a shortened version for something else as I just really like Cal on its own.
