Double barrel girl name

We have decided on a boy name but cannot find a girl name. We have twin girls Charlotte-Grace and Sarah Elizabeth.

Any ideas for a girl?

So, one of your twins has a hyphenated name but the other doesn’t? But you call both twins by their full two names? Is that right? And you want another double name, with or without a hyphen, for the new baby? I’d go classic: Anne-Marie.

Surely you can link most names so what do you like?

Going by your daughter's names I will such

Imogen-Lucy

Felicity-Bethan

Hannah-Isobel

Olivia-Margaret

Annabel-Lily

Hazel-Olivia

Jessica-Ruth

Any you like?

(Double barrel is for surnames, giving someone two fist names is called hyphenating)
Any names, avoid the bog standard filler names like Rose/Grace/May Mae Mai. Hyphenated names for two siblings seems like a ballache.

Tammy-Faye.

I’m going to say it - it sounds bad. Fussy and unnecessary. And slightly common.

Luredbyapomegranate · 02/05/2022 12:58

Well you don’t need the hyphen - it’s not a good look.

Just give them two names, use them together if you want, and if they want to drop one they can.

LightningAndRainbows · 02/05/2022 13:13

Lorretta-Jane

One of my DDs has a hyphenated name. (not Sarah-Jane, but a similar, classic combination). The first part was the name we really wanted and the second name, although plainer, was the cherry on the cake for us and just lifted the whole name. I think hyphenated girls' names sound really pretty.

HollyOfTheBongs · 02/05/2022 13:28

I'm not a fan of hyphenated names. You can just about get away with Anne-Marie or Sally-Anne, but even then, they are better as Annemarie or Sallyanne.

FayCarew · 02/05/2022 13:35

Anne-Marie is ok. Annemarie isn't.
I know some Sally Annes but still associate it with the Salvation Army

One billion trillion zillion girls born between late 90s-early 2000s were given double barrel name with Grace or Rose or May/Mae or Leigh after the hyphen.

If you like Charlotte-Grace perhaps you will like

Lily-May
Lilly-Rose
Elsie-Mae
Lola-Rose
Lucy-Leigh
Gracie-May

Etc.

HollyOfTheBongs · 02/05/2022 21:26

I can't believe that anyone is seriously suggesting Parker or Sutton as girls' names.

LetHimHaveIt · 02/05/2022 22:34

Parker Posey - film actress.
Sutton Foster - musical theatre actress.

Fujidai · 02/05/2022 23:49

While not a fan of hyphenated names in general, I know three people with quite traditional/established versions that I definitely prefer to those with May, Rose, Grace tagged on the end.
Mary-Catherine (often called 'MC')
Margaret-Mary
Ann-Marie
