Your thoughts on Elizabeth Dawn Salisbury?

Elizabeth was the first name that came to mind, which was on the list to pick for my daughter. I chose Dawn for the middle name. Do you like the names?

Is she going to be born aged 55 years old?

Exactly was I was going to say Grin along with works in a library and has large round glasses. Sorry, but that is what the names brings to my mind.

GroggyLegs · 24/04/2022 22:34

She sounds like a home counties MP.

But it's not a bad name at all, I do like Elizabeth, it's a name with lots of options as they grow.

Wasn't Dawn the woman who died in the Salisbury poisonings?

Yes it was, Dawn Sturgess.

For what it's worth my middle name is Dawn and it has never affected me. I'm an early 70s child, and was given it as it was when I was born, at dawn. I like it for that reason.

Luredbyapomegranate · 25/04/2022 15:15

Elizabeth is lovely

and I think Dawn is fine. It got a tacky rep in the 60s but your daughter’s generation won’t see it that way. I’m fact by the time she’s an adult it will probably be being revived.

This is another one of those odd posts.

I like it. It’s got gravitas for when she wants to be taken seriously but there’s all sorts of ways to shorten Elizabeth when she wants to experiment.

Wow, that person wants everyone's view on Ria Alanna King! I saw the duplicated posts in r/namenerds and thought it was odd that two posts were duplicated so quickly. Very odd indeed.

ParisHarris · 25/04/2022 18:17

There have been multiple Ria Alanna King posts on here as well over the last year or so (largely deleted by MN now). And now a new name to ask about. I can't work out what it's all supposed to mean- a joke? A code?

IsThePopeCatholic · 25/04/2022 18:27

I dislike Dawn. It conjures up images of a downtrodden housewife.

WildCherryBlossom · 25/04/2022 18:34

Vera Duckworth was my first thought

Sounds aristocratic in the nicest possible way. She could be a friend of the Brigertons 🙂

@StrictlyAFemaleFemale

how in the name of God is Dawn aristocratic?! She’s a hairdresser born in 1954

The name as a whole sounds like a character from the kind of romantic novels you find abandoned in holiday rentals.

This.

StarlingsInTheRoof · 30/04/2022 12:33

I think lots of this generation will have 1960's middle names as people tend to middle name after their parents and first name after their grandparents. I am not a fan of the hard Z sound, but love Beth, Bess, Betty etc. Elizabeth is really not a controversial first name and no one uses middle names anyway. Be nice to be a bit different to the Grace and May's that have become the Jane and Louise of this generation.

user1492757084 · 01/05/2022 01:48

Beautiful.

Elizabeth Dawn is timeless, strong and feminine.

Onceuponatimethen · 01/05/2022 01:55

I don’t think Dawn fits with the other names. Elizabeth Salisbury is lovely though. What about Aurora as the middle name? Also means dawn.

Kanaloa · 01/05/2022 02:00

It’s a nice name. Dawn is a bit dated, but realistically she’s very very rarely going to be called Elizabeth Dawn Salisbury. She’ll be Ellie or Eliza or Lizzie Salisbury and Elizabeth is a lovey and wearable name.

Very strange indeed.
I suspect this is the name of an actual person the OP knows. Otherwise, why the different surnames in the threads?
