That whatever ridiculous moniker you give your DC they will grow up. Did anyone see the 1% game show with Lee Mack? The poor guy in the audience who's parents gave him the name Attila Annus? Just remember that when you are coming up with more and more ridiculous names just so your child will be different. Children don't LIKE being different.

I always think that if you are so very keen on a completely 'out there' name (not just something non traditional or spelled a bit unusually) then you should change your own name to it instead, rather than saddling a poor child with it.

I've got a boring 80s name and would have liked something more unusual, but I know of a child who is literally called 'Charlieboy' and that's just daft, imagine 56 year old Charlieboy the accountant introducing himself to people?

Some names that get the thumbs up on mumsnet are so terrible though. Arthur, Aurora. 👎👎

@OnlyTheTitosaurusOfTheIceberg Whilst I accept that for office based jobs it no longer matters because candidates are screened by technology, my initial point still stands. I've never come across a priest called Lucifer. Likewise you may not have a glittering career in international politics if you are named Adolf.
