What do you think of Jemima? Not fan of Gemma and don't care about the Aunt Jemima thing. Would it be wrong to use if not Jewish?

What other names could you suggest that I might like.

I named my child a lovely name that's not very popular (but not out there either). But her friends seem to shorten it to a really popular name that's very normal. I'm not a fan

It's a good name, not overused but recognised and there aren't lots of alternative spellings.

Other names of a similar ilk include Delilah, Keziah, Miriam or Susannah. I know a handful of girls with those names (and one Jemima), none of them is Jewish.
