Skye - hate it. I know two kids called Syke, both are absolute brats so that's probably colouring my view

Merryn - never heard of it before, is it pronounced same as Muireann?

Ariana - like but always associated with Ariana Grande. A but like all the Britneys and Rhianna's about 10-15 years ago

Milena - sounds like medicine, contraceptive, or cleaning product

Mila - used to love this name until I had a late m/c and another girl I knew was pregnant at the same time but a couple of weeks behind, I had told her this was my favourite name, come to find out when her daughter was born she named her mila..how cruel

Really dislike Milena, sounds similar to malaena which is a poo with blood in it. Sorry. Ariana is nice as I’ve just read a book with a lovely character with that name, although I would have associated it with Grande previously. I like Merryn. Kind of makes me think of a nice girl from the Shire. Is there a hobbit called Merry? Anyway, it’s a little folky and nice. The others are somewhere in the middle

I like Merryn, Ariana and Petra (or maybe Petrina).

The rest are a bit bland. Alba could work as Alberta or Albertine.

Nina is the only one I like - it's great. Ariana is ok along with Petra. All the others are bad inmho.

Anya was from Anastasia, who was Russian. I think all the names are lovely but all very foreign

Nina and Petra are not to my taste.

Mila - don't like. Find it a bit dull (maybe because I know a lot as work with a lot of Eastern European people)

Petra- I’m 51 so can’t get past Blue Peter dog of the 70s.
Mila is a white spot on a baby’s face.
The rest can go in any order.

The rest are all fine but not favourites.

So helpful thank you everyone! Such mixed opinions but Anya and Nina seem fairly acceptable

Don’t like Merryn but Mirren or Manon is nice, also Ffion, Seren, Arran, Aislinn

Don’t like Milena but Marina or Miranda are nice

Anya is ok, I think Anna and Annis are both nicer

Petra is ok, unusual too.

Alba is ok, but I think Aphra is nicer

Mila and Nina are meh, Skye is a bit naff, and Ariana very Disney Princess
