Elizabeth Rose

Elizabeth Rose. Some of your 'nicknames' are names in their own right, wait until she's here and see what evolves.

Snowbell99 · 11/03/2022 10:32

Rose Elisabeth.

You mean which full name (for Rose)? Because Rosalie as a nickname is a bit odd. If it is about nicknames then Rosie or no nickname. If you want a longer form I like Rosalind.

TidyDancer · 11/03/2022 10:33

Rose Elizabeth (prefer the Z spelling).

You don't need a nickname for Rose really.

beetree1 · 11/03/2022 11:12

My best friend at school was Rose Elizabeth. We all called her Rosie until senior school when she wanted to be Rose

Hikoridikori · 11/03/2022 11:16

Not another Rose/Rosie!

Go for Elizabeth and let her choose her nn (if she wants to have one).

MissCarolina · 11/03/2022 11:42

Elizabeth Rose is really lovely.

Lemonweightloss · 11/03/2022 11:50

Elisabeth Rose. Beautiful.
Let the nn develop. I know 2 Elisabeths, both in their 30s - 1 is Lizzy, the other Betty. (We also have a Bethany, 25, who is Betty ).

DowntonCrabby · 11/03/2022 11:52

Elizabeth Rose and Libby as nn (although I adore Eliza too even though it’s a whole standalone first name)

I’d just go with Elisa/ Elise if spelling with an “s” Elisabeth pronounced Elle-ee-sah-beth is difficult to say.

Lemonweightloss · 11/03/2022 11:52

Is it Elisabeth or Elizabeth ?
I prefer the z spelling but the s spelling is lovely too.

Luredbyapomegranate · 11/03/2022 15:28

Elizabeth Rose nn Libby - although I love Lizbie too

There are far many Roses around, and it just doesn't allow for the variation in nns Elizabeth does. Also the names you are suggesting wouldn't get used as nns - she'll be Rosie, just Rose, or at a push, Rosa.

Rose Elizabeth, Rosie

LawnFever · 11/03/2022 19:29

Elizabeth Rose, and nicknames need to be natural imo, not decided in advance.

Fivebeanchilli · 11/03/2022 22:55

Elisabeth Rose (although I'd go for Elizabeth personally as she'll constantly be correcting people otherwise) with the nn Libby.

WeasilyPleased · 12/03/2022 01:51

Elisabeth Rose nn Betty.

soulinablackberrypie · 13/03/2022 18:28

Going out on a limb a bit, but I really love Rosalie so I think I would go for Rosalie Elisabeth, which would then also adapt to Rose or Rosie if you or she wanted.

I don't dislike the spelling Elisabeth, but I think it would get misspelt a lot, so that's why I would make it the second name, so it won't be used as much.

Meandthesky · 13/03/2022 19:39

Elizabeth Rose nn Libby

Meandthesky · 13/03/2022 19:40

Sorry, I missed the spelling

Elisabeth Rose nn Libby

(Although I prefer Elizabeth tbh)

DogsAndGin · 15/03/2022 21:40

Elizabeth Rose. Her nickname will come naturally, depending on what suits her

Laureatus · 15/03/2022 22:19

I'm an Elizabeth (I go by Lizzie) and I absolutely love my name so I encourage you to go for it. My parents always called me Elizabeth in full, they chose my name partly because it has so many diminutives I could choose my own. In the end my diminutive (not a nickname) developed when I was learning to say my name - all I could manage was Liddy so everyone thought I was saying Lizzie and that's what people called me.
