Would love your opinions on the name Clover. Thanks!

I prefer it to Daisy and Poppy, both of which are very popular

The margarine has ruined it for me.

I think that it could lead to creepy comments because it's one letter away from lover.

I love it but I think you need a surname to go with it that doesn’t sound like you’ve wandered out of a dairy. So Clover Williams or whatever- fine. Clover Butterfield- bit much.

I honestly think clove as a nickname makes it even worse. All it does is emphasise that Clover doesn’t have a very nice sound to it, plus highlights the association with cloven/clove of garlic etc.

I know of two siblings called Clover and Flora.

It's cute but it's always the name given to cows. Knowing how brutal some kids can be I'd worry about my child being taunted by mooing at school if she fell out with anyone.
