There are some words which would make lovely names. My favourite is Obscenity. I think that would be delightful for a little girl. For some reason it has never caught on. Oblivious is nice for a boy. Has anyone else got any?

I live in a country where we have many languages. So often traditional names are translated and so we just go with it really.

Quite popular is:
Hopalong (in fact I know about 3 Hopalongs)

I know a Smiley and a Eversmiley
Beauty ( quite common)
Patience
Discomfort (not even kidding),
Comfort (also popular)
Shiny
Rebel
Clever
Jealous

There are more which I just can't think of at the moment.

I want to know why Calculus is designated a boy's name. Rather stereotypical!
I suppose Algebra might work well for a girl. Geometry could have nn Geo and Surd has a nice strong ring to it.
Alex's twin sister is Index and their older brother is Tangent.
