I like Robyn and Robbie for a girl but with other similar names are there that say feisty, adventurous etc (for a girl)

I really liked Robin/ Robyn but as she was due Christmas Eve it felt a bit too 'themed'. We went with Roberta nn Bobby.
I also liked Rowan and Aubrey (For me Aubrey is a family name for a boy but now is much more common for girls apparently)

Sylvie
Flora
Cleo
Maya
Billie
Cassie
Lyra
Jessie

@PossiblyDreaming

Robyn is a perfectly normal spelling for the female name. Confused

I like Robyn and also like
Louise
Megan
Jessica
Katie
Eliza

Ah interesting I didn’t realise that

Christie

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 07/02/2022 12:30

@PossiblyDreaming

Is there a particular reason you like Robyn spelt that way? Are you after other non-traditionally spelt names?
That's the correct spelling for a female Robyn. The male equivalent is Robin.
Frankiefarr · 07/02/2022 12:42

I really like the Y spelling that’s all

Glitterygreen · 07/02/2022 12:47

I love Robin for a girl, unfortunately my DP has vetoed it :(

Some of my other faves were Rowan, Billie, Bobbie, Frankie and Summer. No to all of them from DP!

Neddles · 07/02/2022 13:00

I have two daughters: Robyn and Zerren.

Frankiefarr · 07/02/2022 13:03

I’ve never heard Zerren before. Where is that from? Really interesting name

ChocolateDeficitDisorder · 07/02/2022 13:04

Rowan, Autumn, Kendal, Alexia, Hannah.

PossiblyDreaming · 07/02/2022 17:05

@WhatATimeToBeAlive it’s not the “correct” spelling. It’s not incorrect but there are plenty of female Robin’s, the only female Robyn’s I can think of are American. There’s nothing wrong with it either way, I was just trying to gauge if OP was after a more American sounding girls name or if the spelling was neither here nor there.

I like Stevie but I don’t think it could be a full name - just about a nn for Eve?

Yika · 07/02/2022 20:40

I like Robyn.

I also like Stevie (just on its own).

What about
Tamsin
Joely
Nancy
Morag
Matilda
Alexis

lottiegarbanzo · 08/02/2022 15:01

Stella Evie
Estelle Evelyn
Cele[ste Evie]
Esther Vita

Christine / Christa / Crystal Verity
etc.

Going international:
Sveta
Steveline (Norwegian apparently)

Makes me wonder about St Evelyn (the way you get St John = Sinjun) although that's a different pronunciation.

Or apparently Steven means crown / wreath / garland / honour, so you could go with Honor or Flora (floral garland / wreath?) or Holly but call her Stevie. A bit like Marguerite / Daisy.

lottiegarbanzo · 08/02/2022 15:07

Stella Verity works really well IMO. Both nice names individually.

Oh can I throw Vivienne in as a useful V name? Thinking about this one too much!
