Do you think Coco (as an abbreviation of Cordelia) would lead to any problems in this day and age (un Pc etc???). Hadn't crossed my mind but a friend has just raised it and said it would be cruel to call the baby it as gives the wrong impression. I had just been thinking of coco Chanel..

I know 3 Coco's between 7-13 age range, I'm not sure if any of the have a longer name

I like it and know quite a few Cocos and Cordelias. I like Didi as a nickname for Cordelia too. DC1 had a Bibi, Ceci and Didi in their class at school!

Coco the Clown by Nicolai Poliakoff.

Also wouldn’t use this name due to Coco Chanel’s Nazi affiliation

As a nn I like it.
As a full name I just think coco the clown and coco pops

I don’t really get Coco as a nn for Cordelia - Dee, Delia, Cora, Cordy, Cory … personally I like Delia :)
I’m not a fan of Coco as a name but others seem to like it …

@Bluemamma

Coco as a nn to Cordelia- yes lovely Coco on its own as a name - lower class striper
The Coco I know (whose name is Coco on her birth certificate) is an honourable. If you're going to be a snob then at least be accurate in your proclamations.
