Looking for ideas of middle names to go with Amelia Squires.
She has a sister Charlotte Grace, so can't use them.
It can't start with an "R" or "S"

Some lovely suggestions, thank you.
I think my head is swimming with so many names after falling down the rabbit hole of baby naming sites that's made this whole thing harder rather than easier! Confused

Amelia Squires is a bit of a mouthful (to me anyway), so I'd go for something with a hard sound to break it up a bit. I like a PP's suggestion of Kate.

Other suggestions:
Amelia Bethan Squires
Amelia Hattie Squires
Amelia Karen Squires
Amelia Bernadette Squires
Amelia Cameron Squires
Amelia Dawn Squires
Amelia Gertrude Squires

Naughty Amelia Jane is an Enid Blyton book. There's a few of them. She's a mean rag doll that bullies the other toys in the toy cupboard!

It means ‘missing limb’, but that hasn’t put tens of thousands of people using it as a name in recent years. Do you really want a middle name?
It’s a frilly name and the surname is a bit harsh sounding, so something short/smooth if a middle name is needed.

Something simple and classic - Amelia Squires is very English in a charming way, but also a wee bit of a tongue twister. Two syllables is the best rhythm and you want to avoid vowels to start as that adds to the tongue twist (Amelia Edith etc).

Katherine
Mary
Lucy
Beatrice

@NowEvenBetter in what origin does it mean "missing limb"? I haven't come across that description

Eh? No it doesn't.

Belle or Jade

NowEvenBetter · 02/02/2022 21:48

Yes, it does, it’s a medical term, feel free to google it.

NowEvenBetter · 02/02/2022 21:49

For anyone whose google is broken:
’Amelia, defined as the complete absence of the skeletal parts of a limb that occurs when the limb formation process is either prevented or interrupted very early in the developing embryo between 24 and 36 days following fertilization (1-4). Amelia is generally thought to be a sporadic anomaly’
