Can finding a middle for this name be any harder

Trying to think of middle name for Felicity. Four syllable word name that ends in -ee sound and strong L sound.
Word middles like Grace and Hope are off
Middle names like Anne makes Felicity into Felicitian
Longer names are out
Two syllable names like Charlotte and Beatrice are out, otherwise you got really long name in letter count.
Many lovely names are out due to similar L sounds. Felicity Giselle or Felicity Helena both strong on L.

Do you feel thinking of middle for any other name is as hard

I don't get all this angst about middle names. If there isn't a name you love/want to use, or a family name you'd like to carry on, don't bother. No-one NEEDS a middle name. I've managed 49 years without one, as has my brother.
I get why people have them, so this isn't a 'no-one should have one' post, but if you don't have a name, and can't think of one, then surely that just means you don't need to have one.

No one uses their middle name so it doesn't really matter much. Give the baby a name that means something to you, like a relative or special person, or don't bother. The only thing worth thinking about is initials as they do often appear on things eg at school.

Rae was the first one that came to mind. For what it's worth, I get what you mean OP!

What names do you like? They really don’t sound that bad op. Why are long middle names out? Long sounds best.

Felicity Imogen
Felicity Jemimah
Felicity Fiona
Felicity Lydia
Felicity Aurelia

I could go on

I’m late to the party but Felicity is full of short vowels. Of the suggested above, I think that the ones that work best are short names with a long vowel. It gives the voice somewhere to rest (unless your surname is Clarke in which case the job is done).

Agree that a 1-syllable is best

Felicity Claire
Felicity Kate
Felicity Rose
Felicity Beth
Felicity Ruth

Not sure why you've veto's Felicity Grace - but I think that sounds lovely.

Felicity Fleur

I'm a fan of the double initial and love the name Felicity!

Scarby9 · 23/01/2022 18:43

I genuinely think that every middle name you mention in your opening post goes really well with Felicity.

I like a challenge! Grin

Right... no Ls in the name, no ending in ee sound, no more than 5 letters? (I'm guessing here as you say Charlotte is too long), no vowel names (so there's a clear distinction between the first and middle name). No virtue names or word names. 1-2 syllables. I've also omitted and names beginning with the S sound as that could be quite "hissy" (e.g. Felicity Sarah).

Here goes:

Felicity Beth
Felicity Cerys
Felicity Carys
Felicity Cora
Felicity Cara
Felicity Gemma
Felicity Gwen
Felicity Hannah
Felicity Jane
Felicity Juno
Felicity Maia
Felicity Mira
Felicity Megan
Felicity Niamh
Felicity Nina
Felicity Nora
Felicity Quinn
Felicity Rosa
Felicity Vita
Felicity Vera

Flow wise, I think Felicity Gemma, Felicity Hannah or Felicity Megan are the best.

I really like Felicity Cerys or Felicity Carys though.

Although I do think (in the kindest way) that you have perhaps given yourself too many restrictions!

If you can't find a middle name you love or is meaningful to you, they are not compulsory. My dad didn't have a middle name and it didn't affect his life in any way!

Felicity Jo
Felicity Beau
Felicity Zoe
Felicity Edie
